Alienware M18 R1 fit

Voltage and current available are right, and the connector is the right size, right polarity. It was a trick finding one with all of that. I was a little concerned about it having the center pin, As the Chicony power supply that came with the computer does not, but it works fine. It's running on it now. The pin is for some kind of communication on certain laptops from what I've read. Good price too. I keep monitor, KB, mouse, and power supply at two different locations that I travel between, so now I'm set. Oh, and the white ring on the DC connector lights up. Pretty cool. Longevity? We'll see.

A Reliable Charger for an Alienware X17 R1
I purchased this item because Dell did not have an OEM adapter/charger for an Alienware X17 R1 in stock. It was approximately half the price that I had expected to pay for a charger from Dell. It performs adequately which is the only important feature of the charger.

Poor quality control, doesn't work at all
This wouldn't turn on at all. I didn't find out until after 30 days due to traveling.

Way better than the original
This is way better than the original Delle charger that came with my PC when I bought it. It's smaller, lighter, so it's more portable. The quality is very good, with good charging speeds. And the port emits a constant light, which makes it easier to find in a dark setting.

Much smaller and does the job
My original Dell charger was 330W and a monster both in size and weight. I never use close to that much power when I observe my current power usage on the computer, and transporting the original charger around was simply a chore. This charger is roughly half the size of the original. I honestly dont know it's power capacity because I have never tested its limits, it may or may not be the full 330W, but for daily usage and when transporting my laptop around, this charger is much more convenient. I am happy with the purchase.
