I waited until I’d actually used this pillow to write a review. It is fabulous. I don’t like using hotel pillows and I also wanted a pillow I could take camping. It took me a while to narrow down my purchase based on reviews but this one had the best, and I’m very glad I went with it! It feels just like my regular pillow. Super comfortable, easy to pack, and a bit smaller than a regular sized pillow but not small. It was exactly what I was looking for. Definitely get this one if you’re on the fence about a travel pillow purchase! Highly recommend it.

Stuffs well into its stuff sack and made a great travel pillow for a two week adventure abroad. Still takes up space, but stuff sack can be clipped to the outside of a backpack with a carabiner. Bring an extra pillow case or external bag to keep interior pillow case clean when using as lumbar support on plane ride and buses. Great to have as extra pillow in hotels. Has a good amount of loft/support and doesn’t flatten. Bought a second one for my five year old and he loves it as his everyday pillow.

Finally, a self-inflating travel or camping pillow that is actually really comfortable. My oldest daughter is going away to summer camp this summer and while there they take a couple of camping trips. While we have taken family camping trips before, we have gone by car where it is easy to pack in a bunch of gear (including regular pillows). She will be hiking out to their campsite, however, and therefore needs to be mindful of weight and size of her gear. I have not very fond memories of camping as a kid using a rolled up towel or my sweatshirt as a pillow and consequently not getting a very good night sleep. In an effort to spare her the same fate, I thought that a self-inflating pillow would solve the problem of a comfortable pillow but also something compact to fit in her pack. On the plus side, this pillow is very comfortable. It is not made of a shiny or slippery material so your head does not roll off and it does not make a funny crinkly sound when you use it. Also, there is a foam of some sort in the the pillow that adds to the comfort. You can also fully fill the pillow if you like a very full pillow (though I found it to be a bit too full this way, leading to your head rolling off a bit too easily) or you can lit a bit of air out so there is more "give" in the pillow. I found this to be best so that it conforms a bit to your head. I also liked the mechanism for opening and closing the nozzle. You have to push in/pull out a bit so that makes it less likely for it to accidentally open on you. On the con side, I found that the "self-inflating" was pretty slow. I didn't feel that it was actually going to inflate on its own. However, a few short breaths it is filled so this is not really much of a con. Also, because of the filling in the pillow (which is a plus because it is more comfortable that way), the pillow cannot fold down as small as I would like. So, it is a bit bulkier than some of the other camping pillow options. I think it will still serve my daughter's purposes fine but I wanted to point it out in case someone was looking for an extremely compact pillow. We have all had fun playing with it (and now my boys want their own) and my daughter can't wait to take it with her on her camping trip this summer.

I usually have trouble sleeping when I’m backpacking and one thing really helps is a comfortable pillow. Unfortunately, I’ve tried a few camping pillows without finding one I liked. I have a couple of regular inflatable pillows that are just too small and not really comfortable because it feels like I’m sleeping on a balloon. Then I bought a foam filled pillow by Thermarest. It’s much more comfortable, but not quite firm enough to suit me. It’s also really bulky even when compressed. Now I’ve found this pillow, which looks to be the best of both worlds. The expanding foam inside gives more of the feel of a traditional pillow, and the ability to inflate it with air helps to regulate the firmness without the balloon feeling. When you’re ready to pack up, you can compress it and it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. The top fabric is also nice and soft, and not the plastic feel of my inflatable pillows. All that said, this is not a pillow for someone who is looking for the lightest weight pillow possible. I wish I could use one of the ultralight inflatable options, but I just can’t get a decent night sleep using one. This is a nice compromise if size, weight, and comfort. It did not include a patch kit, so that is something to consider. I have one with my inflatable sleeping pad, so no worries there. If it holds up with use, this product is a home run.

This is a small but comfortable pillow. Be prepared its basically a flannel outer layer, so susceptible to moisture. It would be great if the storage bag was a bit bigger. Overall, an economical choice.

I used this on a recent three night camp. My expectations were not high after I got a look at the pillow. I expected it to be larger but I gave it a try. Surprisingly, it worked just fine and held up to my nightly maulings over the three nights. It was resilient and supportive enough that I really can’t complain. Once home I removed the drool-encrusted pillowcase and tossed it in the washer. Nice to be able to wash off so easy…the pillow itself came with a carrying bag and easily fits back into the bag after use. I would buy this again. I’ve yet to be disappointed by any product made by this brand. Update: My kid borrowed this pillow for a camping/canoe trip on the Buffalo River. It served her well and traveled in its bag like a lightweight dream. And it never lost its shape, not even after being in the bottoms of a bag in a canoe for two days. It was returned to me in a somewhat stinky state so I washed it on delicate to get rid of the funk. Once dried on the air cycle, I popped it back in its bag and packed it away. It worked like a champ and is still holding its shape. It’s rare you find a product these days that exceeds your expectations. I’m updating my review to five stars instead of four.

Nice pillow with minimal blowing involved. It self inflates to a point and then I blow in it just a little if I wanted it fuller. I could inflate it to the perfect amount of thickness. It holds up well and is easy to deflate and store. I bought this along with the seat cushion as shown in my photos. I'm happy with it.

Great large cushion

Acheté en 2019 pour nos voyages dans le sud, cet oreiller s’est vraiment avéré pratique pour maintenir la tête pour la lecture sur les chaises longues. Pas mal plus confortable également pour se reposer. C’est un bon produit que j’achèterais sans hésitation lorsque j’ai revu l’article sur Amazon.
