Boneset Herb, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Boneset Herb is a perennial plant in the sunflower family. The Boneset Plant is native to the Eastern United States and is also called "agueweed", "feverwort" and the "sweating-plant". Boneset is used to make Boneset Tea, Tinctures, extracts and salves. Boneset Herb is used in many medicinal recipes and is a time tested herb among many cultures. Boneset is a bitter herb and many prefer mixing it with admixture plants such as Burdock or Ginger to disguise the bitter taste. The genus name, Eupatorium, comes from the king Mithridates Eupator, who was the first to use a similar herbal plant for medicinal purposes.
