Works as intended. Was very easy to install, but I recommend watching a how to video first if it's your first time replacing one.

I purchased this capacitor for my outdoor AC unit a few years ago. My air conditioner was slow to turn on and would make this weird noise as it struggled to kick on. After doing a little research, I figured that my capacitor was on its way out. I went ahead and purchased this item in anticipation for my ac unit to quit. I'm glad that I had it on hand because when my AC unit finally gave out, I easily just popped in the new one and everything worked fine.I feel like the price for this part was excellent and it seems to be well rated. So far, after about 2 years of use it has been holding up well. I'm hoping to get many more years of life out of this capacitor. I may even buy one to keep on hand since these parts are very common to fail after a few years of use.

A bit more expensive, but my reaearch shows it is well worth it. One of the most dependable, longest lasting HVAC capacitors on the market. Easy as pie to replace. The original in Amana was not gone, but "going", and my HVAC co. wanted $320. That kicked my DIY genes into high gear. 2 days later, new and working capacitor for just $35.00. Keeping old one for emergency backup.

The part was exactly what I needed and it arrived in great time

This was a replacement for my capacitor which was a 3 terminal capacitor, this one had 4 which I didn't really expect since I didn't look at the pictures, but after a little reading I found out that it's essentially the same as a 3 terminal capacitor but with the added benefit of a "compressor protection terminal", which means that you wire it the exact same way as a 3 terminal capacitor and only use the CPT terminal to connect to one of the ends of a hard start capacitor.

It scared me opening this product seeing 4 prongs instead of 3. After reading reviews I wired the 3 prongs exactly like the old capacitor and left the 4th prong empty it worked like a charm. Thank you! Super easy to do yourself just make sure your power is off and your fuse is unplugged.

Our AC compressor stopped running today. I kept this in my tool room as a spare and, after a 15 minute install, it got us running again. Time will tell but it seems like a higher quality capacitor than the OEM one that just went bad after 6 years.
