Do not waste your time buying the towels that are similar to a kitchen towel because it is like putting a hot, wet rag on your shoulders. This towel retains water and keeps your cooler. I live in south east Texas and it gets me through the heat during all day outdoor events! Love this product!!

Love this .keeps cool for a long time .ive used it multiple times for my son's football games and for him .its better then the usual cooling towel because of the material others are usually just made of cloth and u constantly have to keep wetting them .this one I keep in a cooler at his games or in the fridge before using .Its worth the price. Will buy again .

I’ve been really impressed with the FROGG TOGGS Chilly Pad Cooling Towel, especially for being outside or exercising in hot weather. The 33 x 13-inch size is great because it’s long enough to comfortably wrap around my neck while still being wide enough to use on my face, arms, or forehead when I need to cool down. It’s very simple to use—just wet it, wring out the excess water, and it starts feeling noticeably cooler. I like that I can reactivate the cooling effect by wetting it again instead of needing ice or refrigeration. The material feels soft and comfortable against my skin, and it doesn’t feel overly heavy around my neck when wet. It also folds down easily enough to keep in a gym bag or backpack, making it convenient for workouts, walking, the beach, pool, sporting events, camping, or traveling. The material feels durable and has held up well with repeated use, and I appreciate that it can be reused instead of being a one-time cooling product. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the size, cooling ability, comfort, portability, and durability. It’s a simple product, but it does what I need it to do, and I would definitely recommend keeping one around during the warmer months.

Worked really well! And helped us keep cool on those hot summer days at the theme parks. I just wish the towel didn’t get so stiff when dry but once it’s wet it does its job very well!

Wonderful product. It gets to 117 degrees in Phoenix Arizona. When I get in my car after it is parked outside in a parking lot, the temperature is horrific. I take the chilly pad in with me wherever I go so it is still cold to use when I get in my car. You can also keep a bottle of cold water with you to rewet it if needed. A game changer. Always keep it wet for when it dries it gets real stiff. I keep mine in refrigerator. DO wash it when needed for your sweat gets on it and then chilly pad will start to smell real bad.

This was amazing! I bought this for a summer trip to Italy for my mother to keep her cool. I liked that it was wide and long enough to drape over her shoulders. It kept her cool and comfortable during a heat wave.

I love the material this is made of. It's the opposite of a sensory nightmare. I love it... it stays cool for a while but the ends start to dry a little bit fast, in my opinion. Maybe it needed to be wetter to start but I also used it when it was not that hot so it makes me think in worse heat it might perform worse. I have heat intolerance so I really test a lot of tools to help with it. This is pretty good overall and feels worth $12. Also, i haven't tried it but I don't think the container is sufficient to store it. It'll get all dry and stiff if allowed to dry completely so I recommend storing it in a zip lock freezer bag.

Bought this towel for our trip to Florida. My fiancé wore it all day while we tackled every Disney World and Universal park. It was right around 90 everyday while we were there and he is not of fan of hot temperatures. All he had to do was wet it and wear it around his neck. The cooling effect allowed him to stay as comfortable as possible. The length of time that the cooling effect lasts is really impressive. He only had to wet it a few times during a 12-13 hour span. The length of the towel is perfect for wearing around your neck and still having enough material to wipe your face when needed. The quality is fantastic as it survived 8 plus days of constant use and my fiancé plans on continuing to use it at work and when mowing etc It is super light weight and gripped to his neck without ever shifting. It does say that the material can cause a rash but my fiancé has not experienced that. We did follow all the directions before use and while using and again it never caused skin irritation or stained any clothing! This cloth was an absolute life saver in the heat and we believe it played a huge roll in keeping body temperature down!

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc - anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube - you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours - as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.

Giving this one star as it's not possible to give a review without a star. This item stays wet for hours, or at least damp. Thats about it. It is not cooling. Bought it for travel hoping to stay cool in hot weather and was dissapointed to discover that I handed over money for absolute rubbish. The saying, "if it seems too good to be true it usually is" comes to mind. Invest in a portable fan, your money will be better spent.
