Review: Great quality - Beautifuly made and high quality. The sound is very deep. The instruction is only on chinees, it would be good to include also english language tutorial. Review: Very Beautiful and Plays Professionally. - I liked the Sound it made. The Polished Wooden Stand and Carrying Pouch was very nice also. The pattern sewn on the Pouch was very Beautiful, and reminded me of my Native American Cherokee Bloodline. Also, I don't have many of my Adult Teeth left, but it still plays well. The Fingering Holes are very easy to play. I just start moving the fingers of my Right hand and then my Left Hand. So it's as easy to play as real Xūn Masters have said on YouTube. Also, I made a YouTube Video showing the instrument, the pouch, and the Stand when it arrived a lot of people love it. I seriously Recommend other people to buy this Xūn from desertcart. Again, Thank you so much! - Jonathan Martin ## Features - Material: Pottery clay. It is possible that you might run into pitch issues depending on manufacturing processes. These instructions were primitive early instruments so they only have about an octave range similar to an ocarina **Q: Is it really only 10cm tall?** A: That is correct. It's not big, but the sound is bigger than you would think. **Q: How do you clean it?** A: Since it is made from a porus clay you don't really need to clean it but if you would like to clean it when you first get it. I would cover all the holes and fill it with warm soapy water. Give it a few shakes, uncover the holes and shake out the water and rinse with warm water and repeat till water runs clear. A side note there is an upper chamber and a lower chamber so depending on how the chamber is designed it could also be best to submerge in soapy water then rinse with water. You should not have to do this often except for the first time you get it. These are like ocarinas and that they don't really require that much cleaning maint. **Q: Is it possible to have the instructions in english...here or anywhere** A: I would suggest putting the directions in Google translator as I have yet to find directions in english ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality *by E***E on April 14, 2020* Beautifuly made and high quality. Again, Thank you so much! - Jonathan Martin ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful sound engraved with lotus blossom design, *by R***T on July 23, 2025* A lovely clay Xun. My only quibble is that the stand is unstained wood unlike the pictured item. I was disappointed in the stand as it detracted from the item as a work of art. ## Frequently Bought Together - Professional Chinese Flute Xun Instrument Ceramic Ocarina Ancient Xun Instrument Ceramic Ocarina - How to Play Xun, the Chinese Ocarina --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/101961198-professional-chinese-flute-xun-instrument-ceramic-ocarina-ancient-xun-instrument](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/101961198-professional-chinese-flute-xun-instrument-ceramic-ocarina-ancient-xun-instrument) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
