I've only had these for a few weeks. I have to say that these do warp if put into the dishwasher as other reviews state. One of the lids accidently went into the dishwasher by my son and it did warp slightly even on the top rack. We have my used anything with liquid in these yet to know if they leak. The lids detach and the inside comes out so that it can go into the microwave without warping the lids. This does not fit into normal sized or even slightly larger lunch boxes and because of its flat design, it needs to be stood on its side to go into a bookbag... So leak proof will be important. We bought a different set of lunch containers that fit into normal lunch boxes, but these ones will most likely get used when liquid is on the menu. The portion size is actually just meeting my 5 year old's needs. With a growth spurt... I'll have to pack two. It's a little odd trying to get American style lunches into them, but I can imagine these being great for Asian style meals. Half sandwiches fit, but it's tricky. Whole sandwiches do not fit... Unless you maybe cut it up into random sized pieces. I updated this review to include a lunch box I found that this fits into. I found it at Costco and it can be carried 3 different ways and even straps to a book bag, has an ice pack, and came with its own containers. Every style of container shown in my photos fits in this bag. I can't say enough great things about it. I think the brand is ultra artic zone original.

These bento boxes have a portion that is removable and dishwasher safe. Part of the reason the lid isn’t dishwasher safe it helps to maintain the seal(it doesn’t become distorted). I have biggger bento boxes like from another company, but these are just a bit smaller and fit into my purse or lunch boxes easier.

I have been using this for a little over a month. One of the clips has broken so now it doesn’t close securely.Update- I reached out to the company and received a response within a day. Diana was super friendly. She went over and above to rectify the situation and shipped out a replacement. My new bento boxes came a few days later and I was pleased to also receive the steel ice cubes and tray set. I was surprised to get 2 new bento boxes along with the steel ice cubes. I put them in the freezer and have already put them to use in a cocktail! They work great.Thank you to Diana for being so kind and quickly replacing the product. My sons loves using their bento boxes and refuse to buy school lunch now!

Excellent boxes, my kids have been using them for some months now, and there haven't even scratched.They hold the food clean and safe, we haven't had leaking in or out issues.Definitely a very recommended product, quality is well above the price.

I love how quality materials are used to make the products. I also like that it has the utensils included. However, the utensils would take up an entire compartment which leaves you with 2 small ones. There should have been a slot cut into the top for the utensils. None of the slots are very big so the only people that would be able to use them in our house would be our kids in kindergarten and maybe 1st grade. You can't fit a sandwich in this unless you remove the bento tray. I do like that it includes a well for sauce. That well though makes the corners around it hard to clean. Overall, it's a good product that needs a few tweaks.

So far its been great. Lots of compartments to have variety for my toddler. Definitely a great bang for your buck to have 2 different containers with different dividers. I like the vacuum seal so even when placed side ways, the food doesnt slide over to other compartments. I put yogurt, cheese, breads, and fruit. Easy to wash and clean. Comes with reusable fork and spoon.

I am so glad that I found these! I have twin preschoolers this year. They cannot open all of the individual bags and packages that older kids may be able to, and I always feel bad sending them when I know the adults at their school are helping so many kids with their lunches. My kids can open these on their own now that we practiced before they went, they are totally leak proof (I can even put applesauce in one cubby!), and they are great for preschool sized portions. I will usually put veggies in one, fruit in one, then nuts and other little treats in the others.

These lunch boxes are very hard to open; especially once food is put inside. My first grader can sometimes easily open the lunch box. Other times, it seems like the plastic container gets stuck to the actual lunch box which makes it very difficult to open. It came to the point where even teachers at his school could not open the box and he was coming home without eating his lunch. I do not recommend these lunchboxes due to that reason.UPDATE— these lunch boxes seem to work best with cold/room temperature foods. I’ve noticed the lunchbox gets difficult to open when there is warm food inside. Maybe it’s the steam from the warm/hot food that causes this??? I think I’ll stick with using these lunchboxes for only snacks and cold foods.Customer service is really great. Updating to 4 stars.
