Great little grease gun for a great price
I know there are some complaints about this grease gun - enough that I almost didn't buy it - but I'm really glad I did because frankly it's a great tool. I don't really need a grease gun very often, but I'm rebuilding the suspension in my truck and the new parts have grease fittings. I decided a small gun (3 oz tube) would be perfect. This little Horusdy (!) gun was only $16 and it included a tube of grease. Pretty cheap for just the gun itself, a great deal with the grease included. Before putting it together I put anti-sieze on all of the threads including the main tube; I read some reviews saying that it leaked, maybe the anti-sieze helped seal it up better. Regardless, I put it together, added the grease, released the plunger and had to pull the trigger probably 15 or 20 times before grease came out, but once it got started it worked perfectly and no leaks anywhere. Super impressed.

Works Perfectly. Used for Toyota CV Tan Grease.
Used this to pump Toyota CV tan grease into two leaking CV boots. Saved me $1,800. It even comes with a tube of grease (I need the tube.) Easy to bleed by loosening the cap slightly. Easy to pump. I removed the no-name grease from the tube and loaded the Toyota CV tan grease into the tube instead. Used a needle attachment to pump the Toyota CV tan grease into the CV boots on two different Toyotas. Used gasket maker to seal the CV boots. Toyota CV joint replacement is about $900 parts and labor. Saved $1,800. (For those with Toyotas, be sure to buy a CV boot kit from your dealer to get the genuine Kyoto Yoshi CV tan grease from Toyota. Don't use garden variety CV grease from elsewhere.)

This Gun May Not Reload
I opened the Horusdy, SDY-97353 grease gun package, read the instructions, and loaded the grease cartridge included with purchase into the gun. I greased the zerks and bearings on my vintage car. The gun worked perfectly. I used all the grease in the cartridge provided but I had several extra cartridges from a previous mini-grease gun. They were Lucas, a recognized, standard brand at most auto stores. I pushed the Lucas cartridge into the Horusdy barrel but it would only slide in 1/3rd of the way. It was an older cartridge and I thought it might have swelled. I asked a neighbor if he had a cartridge; he did, he had just bought a similar, other brand, gun at an auto parts store. His new cartridge did not silde into the Horusdy barrel. We compared our cartridges to the Horusdy cartridge. The latter was slightly smaller in diameter to our cartridges, as was the black plastic cap Horusdy used on their cartridge. My neighbor's black plastic grease gun barrel would not screw into the Horusdy grease pistol where the Horusdy orange, metal barrel screwed in. My standard, mini-grease Lucas cartridge was compatible with my neighbor's gun. We concluded, based on our experience, that: the Horusdy SDY-97353 grease gun only accepts Horusdy cartridges OR ones of the same, smaller diameter. That is not the diameter of most cartridges sold by other lubricant brands. If you wish to purchase this model Horusdy grease gun and this variance in cartridge diameters is of concern to you, contact Horusdy for their list of acceptable cartridges.

A great choice for the money
I've tried a few other Horusdy products so I thought I would give them a try when I was looking for a grease gun. This does exactly what it should and is a great value for the money. If I had any gripes it would be that the included fitting is a little bit small which can make using it tricky, and it doesn't include instructions with any sort of detail. Overall the cons are minor and I'd absolutely buy this one again if it happened to break.

HELP!!
This gun is easy to use but there's one major problem. I have tried everything and cannot get the coupler to disconnect from the zirc fitting. Anyone else have this issue or know how to get it off? Or do I just have to leave it attached permanently! There is no way to reach the seller.

Perfect for a DIYer
I bought this grease gun because I needed one to grease my U-joints on my two trucks but I didn’t want one of the large full size grease guns taking up room in my storage cabinet. This tool is the perfect size for someone who doesn’t use grease very often. The tool feels like it’s sturdy and it comes with some useful atachments for it.
