Nice cooler, but not for me
I was looking for a mid-sized cooler that could keep the contents cold for at least three days on remote camping excursions, and this was a candidate I considered. Build quality was excellent and very comparable to a Yeti soft-sided cooler. I like the reinforced bottom and durable carrying straps. The black mesh tote inside is a novel idea and seemed to be of good quality and durable enough for extended use. Nice idea. However, there was a caution on a note included that the mesh should not be returned to the empty cooler wet, or the black color could stain the cooler lining. Really? I thought this was peculiar, but not a deal breaker. The deal breaker for me was the waterproof zipper, which was very difficult to open. It required two hands even after using the enclosed lubricant. My other concern was the longevity of this zipper after tugging it open and close hundreds of times with use, which appeared to be the Achilles heal of the Yeti soft-sided coolers, that admittedly had much larger zipper teeth, if that’s the right term. All in all, this a very nice unit made by some cool people, but I opted to go with a more durable hard-sided cooler. If you’re looking for a soft-side cooler in this size, I would definitely recommend it over the Yeti for cost savings and build. Not sure how they compare in ice retention as I never got that far in my evaluation. The zipper thing bothered me, but may not you and it’s a much better choice that the large, buck-toothed zippers on the Yeti’s, which seem doomed to fail from many of the reviews.

I LOVE THIS COOLER!!!
The first thing I did was fill it with water and flip it over. As long as the zipper was pulled completely closed it didn't leak at all!!! I love the top zipper pouch for easy access to my phone, wallet and fishing license. The tiedowns on the cooler are great and keep it fully secured to my kayak, not to mention all of the additional loops to add more gear. The mesh liner is genius! It makes it easy to find the items that always end up at the bottom of the cooler or to add more ice when needed. I just pull the liner and put it in the fridge when I get home and I'm done! I recommend charging it with some sacrificial ice and prechilling your contents to extend the cold but it kept my beverages cold in 103F Texas heat for the entire afternoon/evening even with me opening and closing it often. I have yet to test it to see how long it holds ice if you don't open it, but all in all this is my favorite day jaunt cooler. I am really impressed with the quality, the appearance and the price is impossible to beat. Did I mention it has a lifetime warranty too? Just register it within two weeks. Thank you Earth Pak!! Il'l keep investing in your products as long as you keep up the amazing quality!!

Quality item, but expensive
No question about the quality of this soft-sided cooler. The insulation is thick, the zipper is tight and strong and your food and drinks will still be cold at the end of a long summer day in a car. The capacity is not huge: it really will only cope with drinks and snacks for a couple of people on a day trip. On the other hand, its size is ideal for sitting it on the car floor behind the driver or passenger seat. By chance I found a little plastic tray in Target which perfectly fits the cooler, so now I put ice and drinks on the bottom and sit the tray with food on top, eliminating the risk of food becoming soaked. The net which lifts out is a bonus, but the zippered pocket along the top seems completely pointless. Bear in mind that the cooler won't fold, so although it's soft-sided it's only for road trips starting at home. Overall a very good product, albeit for a steep price. There are many alternatives that are significantly cheaper, but you can be sure you're getting a product that fulfills its promises with this cooler.

Best oversized lunch bag ever
Perfect solution for a large lunch box for work. Stays in my car that get 95+ degrees inside and I usually don’t zip it because it stays just as cold if I do. After a 10 hour day my ice packs are still relatively frozen with the cooler unzipped. That’s impressive to me. I also take this cooler out on my boat for day fishing trips and family tubing trips. When I took it camping for 3 nights it still had some ice left on the way home. Never disappoints. I bought the smaller yeti lunch bag to see if it would fit my needs but it would sweat all the time and hardly keep anything cold for 3 hours. Mind you I have more yeti hard coolers than I would like to admit. If I needed another cooler of this style I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. Good job Earth Pak!

Nice looking...doesn't keep ice from melting for very long....
I just missed the window to return this item. I love the net to pick up the contents to drain the melted ice, just don't like that there is soooo much quickly melted ice. Needed a Yeti-like cooler to have on a boat, but I should have just spent the money on the Yeti.

Light colors
I love Earth Pak. I own alot of their gear. Solid ans dependable. Customer service is amazing. My only gripe so far is that I was expecting the more midnight blue color in this cooler. Exactly like the blue duffle I have from them in the background for reference. Not a huge deal, but I was expecting midnight and got more of a periwinkle Blue lol..UPDATE- One other thing that doesn't match the description is the base. Pictures show blue cooler with black base. It's not, it matches the light blue cooler. Not deal breaker but figured people would want to know.

Keeps Food Cold
I bought this cooler over two years ago and it’s still holding up well. The ice I put in it in the morning isn’t quite melted by the end of the day. Food stays cold. It’s easy to drain the water from the melted ice. I keep the zipper lubricated regularly. When I ran out, the company sent me more.
