FIRST USE - PERFECT
Wanted the ability to fish live bait out of my Hobie Pro Angler kayak. Popped 4 D batts in the bubblers and it worked flawlessly (Granted - it's just got to hold water and bubble, right?). Not sure why D batts and cigarette lighter adapters are the ONLY power options. Why we can't hook the bubblers directly up to a battery source is beyond me, it's 2024 right? Lots of options. Anyway - picked up 15 alewives at the bait shop, drove the hour to the lake and hooked up on 30% of the bait, 3 spots and 2 stripers. GREAT DAY! Portability is also a great feature. Kept the Magnum Bait Station behind the seat in the truck for the ride to the lake and simply moved it to the back of the yak at the ramp. Handles are heavy duty and well designed. Great product but IMHO Frabill needs to redesign power options since the current options are from the 1970s.

More than just a bait pale
Best bait station ever. My son and I will use the cast net early in the morning to capture bait. This bucket is amazing. We live in South Carolina and saltwater fish a minimum of three times a week. This bucket does not heat up. It maintains its temperature and our bait remains alive all day without water changes. We even put the bait pale through another test. We took a trip to Cincinnati, and my son picked out two saltwater fish at a local pet store that were about 6 inches in length. Both fish remained in the bucket for 7 days before we decided to make the 10 hour drive home to Charleston, SC. The bucket did exactly as promised, and exceeded our expectations. Both fish made the journey and are now living in a 125 gallon aquarium in the kitchen. So this bait bucket is perfect for those of us that fish as well as for the person with an aquarium looking for a safe way to transport their newly acquired pet.

Great for live bait
I use it almost fairly during the summer for live bait and have had minimal bait loss. Keeps water cool even in hot sun, no water loss, serves the purpose well. Pricey but worth it! Handles make for easy transportation.

Failed to work after 3 years of light use.
Loved it when it was working but has now stopped and I will try to locate a replacement air pump for it. The only thing I didn't like about it when it was working that you have to access the lid opening screws from inside the lid to change the batteries. Not a problem unit you have to do this with bait in the unit.

Pump failed after a couple days
Would have given it 5 stars if the pump hadn’t failed. They sent me a new pump that I have not used since. Hopefully they can improve it in the future.

Great Minnow Bucket!!
I bought the 13 at anything much bigger would get in my way on my boat. I was apprehensive at first because I'm old school and use to the two piece minner bucket. But after ready some reviews I said what the hell, plus it was just $30 more than the metal one. When I opened the box I was like wow😳 this nice and you bet it is!! Very well built and solid and not hollow you know it's insulated by the weight and knocking on the sides and listen not hollow sounding. Hinges, latches, tubing very well built. I believe to be greatest about this besides the construction is the variable power sources, 2 D batteries which you can use 1 or both, I'm assuming because of the amount of minners you have or to save battery life, the other power source is a cigar lighter adapter and it overrides the batteries to save them and the other source is a 120V to 3V adapter which it didn't come with, I bought a variable voltage adapter, keep it at 3V and no more or you'll burn the pump up. For the price I think it very reasonable, but hey Frabill you could have thrown in a 120V - 3V converter. Over all I'm very satisfied and highly recommend.

Too small
This livewell is too small and I thought it had a divider just like the bigger livewell when I looked at the pictures. Doesn’t bring the divider and it’s smaller than you think. Compared to the pictures on here on Amazon. For the money it’s not worth it. Would need two of this size to have two different types of bait. So I was only able to take live shrimp on my fishing trip and the rest had to be frozen bait. Waste of my day on the boat because nothing was going after live shrimp

Keeps Mackerel and Sardines for days!
This is a very well-built system. Sturdy, and well thought out. Even has non-skid rubber feet. I use the largest Magnum model, and I use it in saltwater for one week per year for the last three years. The only things that could make this better, besides being cheaper, are as follows. The system does look like it could be prone to corrosion so I take care to remove the batteries for storage, rinse well, and leave battery compartments open while in the garage. The only other thing is that I replaced the stone aerators with larger "donut" style aerators. This has allowed me to keep more fish or even larger ones. I've actually kept a 15" Calico Bass alive in this all day until I got to a good place to clean it. I love this little live well for when I'm on the dingy away from my larger bait storage. I was sure mine has a vent that lets air out and not water, but I could be wrong. I'll have to check on my next trip, but it hasn't been an issue. I may have modified it to vent. I can't remember if I did, but it wouldn't be hard.

Batteries seem to last long time. Keeps minnows alive and runs for at least 100 hours with the same 2 D batteries.

Bait box is great, worked really well. Unfortunately the aerator switch was damaged when I opened the box. They would not send me a replacement and only wanted me to send it back. They issued me a 15 percent refund only which is far under what they should be refunding. Find someone else to buy this from.

The cover hinge rust is now visible and can only work on Battery inside. 13 quartz is too small on any purpose type of fishing.

I recently picked up the Max Magnum 19-quart cooler with the Fibril aerator, and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. The cooler itself is robust, keeps bait fresh for hours, and is perfect for my fishing trips. However, there's a small yet significant issue with the aerator that is easily fixed. The problem lies with the air stone that comes with the cooler. After just a couple of weeks, even with regular cleaning of stone, I noticed the aerator motor started to bog down and eventually burned out. The culprit? The original air stone creates too much pressure, overwhelming the motor. Thankfully, this is an easy fix. By replacing the air stone with a higher quality one that offers better air flow and reduces pressure build-up in the pump, the aerator works flawlessly. The aerator would always fail after a few hours after a few weekends of 24hour use. I recommend choosing an air stone with finer texture and better porosity. Once I made this switch, the aerator ran smoothly for a 48 hour test, and I haven't had any issues since. In summary, the Max Magnum cooler is a great product, but the vendor should consider upgrading the air stone immediately to ensure long-term reliability of the aerator. Fabril is hurting their good brand.
