For my orchid pots
I'm not a diver, but I bought these to use a counterweight for my orchid pots. I attach them with s-hooks and they work great.

True to size and weight
Been diving with this for awhile now. Great weight and the protective coating is nice so you dont have to touch the lead. Stays secure on belt and looks cool.

Expensive, But Worth It
I've been diving for 30 years, and I really don't like soft weights (long drying time), or uncoated hard weights. The Sea Pearls vinyl coated weights are covered with a very thick vinyl, and are relatively impervious to drops on rocks, asphalt and concrete. I've found a few Sea Pearl coated weights underwater, and have purchased a few. They last for more than a couple of decades, at least! They are pricey, but well-worth it, IMHO. Much easier to load in weight pouches than soft weights, and they'll never tear and leave you with lead shot all over the place!

Just a little extra weight, laces securely onto your tank strap
I need a total dive weight that is an odd number, and wasn't happy with unbalanced weight pockets (I know, I shouldn't be able to tell, but I could). This 1# weight goes on my tank strap and is small enough that I've never worried it might pull the strap open. It also stays on the strap between dives and when my BC is hanging up so I'm not going to lose it unless I really try.

... weights about 1-2 years ago and they had a nice smooth hard coating
I had bought these same weights about 1-2 years ago and they had a nice smooth hard coating. The new weights arrived with a rough soft coating. Not sure why the change, but from initial handling the coating feels less durable. Time will tell. Still nicer than uncoated weights however.

Vinyl coating is a good move
It's a lead weight, so there's really not much to say. I bought these mainly for the vinyl coating as I think having a more substantial barrier between you and the lead might reduce the risk of contamination and lead exposure. So far, it's a great product. After trying these out, I purchased more in the other sizes, and will take them with me locally, as well as for any travel where I'm not flying.

To good to be Real. Very good believe me !!
Exactly what I needed it. I bought four (little pricy) bit is enough weight to dive. You need to get use to have the belt and dive. My first time of feels weird but I am enjoying if so far. Go for it. Good quality
