He would withhold for days... i think the longest was about 14 days. Our doctor recommended miralax and diet changes. This made his stool soft enough but didn't address the fear, he would still withhold and we would deal with the mess of 'smears' as they became known in our house. I was about ready to try enemas just to get the poop out, but we decided against that because that also wont help the mental block he has. Came across this oil about a week ago and weve been having success! The first big poo came about an hour after using, but then he skipped the next two days (they were busy days though and I wasn't consistent with the timing of application). The past 2 nights I put it on after bath and the next days he had confident bowel movements, without any miralax! He is still going in his pull up vs the toilet, but baby steps! I would suggest to anyone to give it a try, but I can't promise anything yet.
