Agatha Christie's Poirot, Series 7 & 8

Needed these shows to fill in my Poirot Library. Very entertaining.

All Poiroit movies are great, however there are some which deserve special recognition. This standout is series 13 which contains CURTAIN MY FAVORITE and THE LABORS OF HERCULES which cimes in second. You cant go wrong with Lord Edgeworth Dies Sereis 8. I have all of the Poriot series and my wife and myself enjoy watching them time after time eventhough we know the ending. What makes them special is DAVID SUCHET as Poiroit. Cannot praise this actor too much.

This was a Used--Very Good item. But the case was a mess. I had to tape most of it together. The corners were all worn & torn. Thankfully all the DVD's were intact. But it was advertised as Set 7 & 8. Mine were 8 & 12. I enjoyed the episodes though. I believe this should been advertised as Used- Good to be more accurate.

I enjoyed Series 7 & 8. Now I'm hooked. You'd never know this DVD was used.

Yesterday i got my DVD player which can handle all zone DVD`s,and tested with "The Italian Nobleman".It was a great time of relax after a long workingday.

Love Mystery Movies, and these are not only well written and the actors are exceptional. A pleasure to watch the time period in which they transpire as well.

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd has a "retired" Poirot ready to murder his vegetables and only too glad to reengage in the "study of human nature" which he does after reuniting with Inspector Japp, a character dear to my heart. Lord Edgeware Dies takes us to the theater with a glimpse backstage at a number of not so nice players. Murder in Mesopotamia finds Poirot accompanying Hastings to an archeological site where an apparently paranoid woman is murdered after all. Evil Under the Sun is a panoramic visit to an island health retreat with Hastings during which they witness jealousy, resentment and vindictive self righteousness, all motives for the murder of a beautiful self centered woman.

I can't believe how much I am enjoying this series. There are a total of four of the longer episodes in this set. Very nice picture and sound. Great 1930's time period flavor. Lots of old cars. Well pleased with each episode here.

I ordered this for someone else who is very pleased with it. Will not play on blu ray player but thought this would be the case with it being region1. It works fine on all cheaper players though. Would recommend ☺

Excellent movie .

This series includes four remastered feature length movies on 2 discs: 1) The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (dramatized by Clive Exton) 2) Lord Edgware Dies (dramatized by Anthony Horowitz creator of Foyle's War) 3) Murder in Mesopotamia (dramatized by Clive Exton) and 4) Evil Under the Sun (dramatized by Anthony Horowitz). These are movies you may seen likely once before, perhaps on the early A & E Channel (Arts & Entertainment) which showcased the series as: Poirot. All four mysteries, 412 minutes of pure Poirot on 16:9 widescreen are of excellent quality and a will be a big pllus to your Poirot collection.

I enjoyed these episodes. I love Poirot and his little grey cells. My husband is also enjoy watching these murder mysteries.

There is no beating Poirot. These movies are some of the best. David Suchet is the best Poirot. Hoping the rest come on sale so I can collect the whole series.
