Very good cameras. Use them for security and pet monitoring. Had an issue with one camera after a couple months of use and seller honored the warranty and replaced the unit. The sound still works but is very muffled compared to older models. I am sure this is due to the legalities behind audio surveillance now. This has a low light option that displays in black and white and does improve vision in low light situations. This does not have active Night Vision. The active night vision models that I have seen self destruct with to much heat being generated. Overall a very good option with decent picture quality and decent wifi range for a good price.

Complete waste of money. Although it does connect to wifi, when connected your phone's wifi access is completely disabled. Terrible field of view. Can only see directly in front of the lens. No fisheye or wide angle option. Junk at its best.

Update: Contacted seller and they confirmed that there was an issue with the sensor/unit. They offered to replace it but by that time, I had already ordered a replacement from a different manufacturer, so they gave me a refund. Seller was very apologetic and responsive. I'm changing my rating due to the fact that unless all of these units are bad, it would be a great little camera for the price.Do not buy this product. Like other reviewers have mentioned, our unit developed a purple haze about about 3-4 weeks of use. I've contacted the seller but they have been slow to respond and have yet to offer a solution or replacement. We'll update this review if they do provide a replacement. Before the purple haze developed, the camera actually worked decently and had good motion detection as well as image quality. The night vision wasn't that great and the set up was a bit odd and took several tries to get correct. Would have loved to have given this a 5 star review but there must be a serious flaw in the sensor for so many units to go bad.

If your phone is low on storage space and you set up alarm mode while motion-sensor testing the camera, the mandatory software for monitoring the cam on your cellphone will DELETE the pointers in your Gallery. The Gallery will repopulate its pointers eventually. So before you download the software, BACK UP ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS and any other files that might be summarily temporarily "de-pointered" by endless individual images of the testing area. That said, the camera works well: although the audio is distorted you can even "listen live" if you get an alert, but I do not like the fact that it PROVIDED NO WARNING that gallery would be emptied to make room and it stored a screenshot of the camera on my phone every time there was a motion alarm. Clearly, it is my own fault for not backing up my photos and not thinking of this possibility before installing the software. But it wasn't as bad as I'd originally thought, as the picture files themselves were not deleted.

I got this to monitor my dog's behavior when I am not in the room. Searching LAN never, ever finds the camera network. Only the QR code or it self connecting after a reset. The app constantly disconnects from the camera, especially when trying to view recorded video, then won't log in again until a hard reset of the camera. After data from the camera is recorded to SD card, the card becomes corrupted, and can't be read on my mac, camera, or any other device. When the card is formatted it is then recognized by devices. "night vision" looks like a black and white filter laid over the video, not actual low light amplification. Not happy

I put this in our rear bathroom that connects to outside and it works wonderfully. The motion detection and subsequent alerts on my phone are great. Image is clear. Highly recommend.

I originally purchased two of these. They worked great for a few weeks. One died and only had a static image. It was replaced and now the replacement won't connect to WiFi. The other camera is developing the purple Haze... I didn't pay a lot for these and hoped for a simple solution but it looks like they were too good to be true. All 3 are defective within a few months.

This item knocks out my WiFi every time I plug it in and connect to it. Waste of money. I also have conscerns of its safety. It got really hot and nothing was plugged into the device
