Worth of money.
I have other less expensive cast-iron tea pots. This is far superior. The difference in quality is notable. Terrific to hold.Produced in Japan in a traditional manner. It is lined with enamel. The size of this teapot is wonderful for a few cups of tea. The pattern is a little more subtle than in the picture, in a pleasing manner. This is expensive, but well worth it.

It's been 1 year (almost)...
Well, it's been nearly a year since I purchased this genuine Japanese handmade cast iron teapot. Expensive? Yes, as teapots go, but worth every penny. Daily use has shown that cast iron holds heat better than any other natural material, the spout does not drip AT ALL, and I never tire of it's beauty. Do not buy knockoff cheap Chinese copies; buy genuine and be genuinely content at tea time. 10-stars if I could rate this pot that high.
