I purchased the Avistar denture adhesive due to the glowing reviews I found on Amazon.com. Only a few folks had given Avistar a 1 star rating. People were saying they got all day adhesion with Avistar. Boy, was I disappointed. Not only because I purchased 5 tubes of this stuff but because Avistar denture adhesive failed miserably. I first used Avistar as soon as I received it, about two hours before lunch. I have only an upper partial, however there are no teeth to hook onto. So I rely totally on the adhesive to hold the partial in place. About half way through a sandwich, the partial came completely loose and I had to take it out. Strike one. After lunch, I installed the adhesive and replaced the partial. It felt secure and 4 hours after reinstalling the partial, I had dinner. Same outcome. Strike two. Next morning I decided to install the partial after breakfast and see what happened at lunch. Again the partial came loose. Strike 3, I am done with Avistar. Time to go back to Fixodent ULTRA. Last night, I went out to a banquet to have dinner. About 4:00 pm I installed my partial using the Fixodent Ultra. Dinner was at 7:00 pm. We had a nice thick cut of roast beef. Everything went well. Not a single problem. Got home about 10:00 pm and my partial was still secure. Had a great night. NO EMBARRASSMENT. Felt great. and Happy how things went. I will now use Fixodent ULTRA from now on.

This is the Best adhesive I personally found so far. I actually had fallen asleep and when I woke they were STILL strong. EVEN THE BOTTOMS!. Still in mouth with NO movement. So far being 100% honest the best. I have tried many.

Doesn't hold as well or as long as Fixodent max but holds for a little while.

I have lived a nightmare with my bottom denture. Because of bone loss, I have to have something soft to cushion it. But the adhesives do not stick to soft denture materials, and also because of bone loss, I need something to keep my denture in place. I can't give this product an A because it does break down after several hours. But I have tried so many, many products -- including paste, powder, pads, all in many brands -- and nothing has even come close to working, including the Secure that so many rave about. Normally, the longest anything lasts before starting to break up is about 30 minutes, and this is without eating or drinking. This adhesive will last me 3-4 hours, and since there is no zinc that means I can reapply as needed. It will break down by the time I'm done eating, but not so completely that I'm afraid to eat for fear my denture will fall out. In summary, it's the best I've used and I'm going to say that I've tried at least 30 other products. I hope this company will keep working to make this even better for adhesion to soft denture materials. I'm afraid I have to retract my review. I can't understand for sure what happened. The first time I used it it held my bottom denture for about 4 hours before it started breaking down. It had been out in a cold UPS delivery truck. I waited for a little while but it was still kind of stiff when I put it on. Anyway, it quit working and nothing changed. I even put it in the refrigerator thinking maybe because it had been cold the first time that's what helped it to stay. But that didn't work either. I can't figure out what could have happened but I'm sure disappointed. Now it doesn't hold much longer than anything else I've tried. I wrote to the company and explained all this but they never responded. I'm continuing to use it because at least it tastes better than the others.

Not worth the money! Used for 2 days, only lasted a couple of hours-- right after breakfast, teeth came loose and taste of the cream was awful. i'll stick to my current denture cream- i cant return because i opened 1 box and threw it away-- i wont use any more of the 1 tube and will throw away the other tube without using any of it. waste of $27.00

My husband swears by this stuff. It is like miracle glue! We even told my daughter to recommend to her patients with dentures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO BUY FOR DENTURES!!!!

Too sticky. Food gets stuck between the gums and dentures too much. I'ts painfull. I've been using this for a few days now, and I'm so disappointed. I'm tired of looking for something better. Secure Sensitive Denture Adhesive with Aloe Vera & Myrrh is the best so far! Just dry your palate before sticking the denture with adhesive to it first; it really lasts for 12 hours. Don't know why I keep looking for something better. It's all been a waste of money.
