Is the rice powder used as a filler?

The rice powder is used as both a filler and a flow agent. Because Vitex is a fruit, it contains sugar, and is naturally sticky. Therefore, in order to make it flow into the capsules, a filler / flow agent needs to be added. We use rice powder because it's amongst the most natural options available.

With Vitex, there is generally about 50 mg of rice powder per capsule. The rice powder is used as a flow agent so that the powder can flow into this capsule. A flow agent is necessary because Vitex is somewhat sticky and does not flow without an additive.
