Black Hi-Shine Gibson 4-Eyelet Extra Wide Fitting Shoes

I am about 10 months in and the sole shows only the slightest wear (mostly just the flash from the injection mold) on it despite using them as work shoes in a primary school.The only visible wear on them at all is the crumples in the leather uppers where it's fitted around my feet.I've been occasionally wiping them over with lindseed oil and the leather is both soft and sturdy.I even went up a mountain in them - I was double socked in wool but had no proper hiking shoes, these were chosen last minute and although the lack of ankle support was an issue, they just aren't made for that - they still held up and you wouldn't know how poorly I treat them at all.

Bought these shoes to replace Doc Martins which only seem to last for 2 years before they break up. These shoes seem to be same after 18 months of wear, about 5 miles per day, they are starting to crack. Regularly apply shoe wax as recommended. Will not buy again.These shoes have finally let me down, complete leaks, soaking feet. Bought British for patriotic teasons. Big mistake.

Very comfy, hope and expect them to last longer than last pair of very disappointing Doc Martens. Assuming they do, you have a customer for life!

Good quality shoes at a reasonable price

Have only worn solovair since discovering them. Quality is second to none, you won't find a more comfortable shoe and so strong, they last for years.
