Purchased these curtains for extra privacy in the winter time to cover up my front door window, Material is soft and in good quality, they don’t allow daylight to come through either. I’ve also got them touching the floor and they’ve stopped any drafts coming in too.Beautiful curtains, would recommend.

I have been on a role of getting quality items from Amazon that would sell for double the price anywhere else. These curtains are silky to the touch and look expensive. They completely black-out any daylight and my bedroom remains dark even at the height of the day. Well worth the money.

The curtains are true to the stated size and the metal rings slide well on my curtain pole.I work the night shift and they are good at shutting the sunshine out.The only negative is that they feel quite cheap (which they are) and shiny, although they look nice and smart and hold a nice shape.Pleased with this purchase and would buy again.

These curtains are lovely.The colour i bought was chocolate and they definitely keep the light from outside out. They are only single layer not lined curtains but they are soft and hang lovely.

I was very close to sending these back for a refund, based on the fact that they aren't particularly dark, (considering they are advertised as dark grey) the material is very thin, and the acoustic and thermal properties are questionable.However, they do a reasonably good job of providing a blackout, the curtain rings seem quite sturdy, and the colour actually isn't unpleasant (even though I really wanted a DARK grey).The material is quite lightweight, but it's quite pleasant to the touch. It was a bit creased when I took it out of the packaging - which possibly wouldn't have been an issue had the material been heavier - but that's nothing I can't sort out with a steamer. One interesting issue is going to be how well they stand up to having the windows open if there's any wind outside. My previous curtains were about 50% heavier (at a guess) and they held up against the wind reasonably well. I'm not sure these will. That said, I haven't added any tie backs (yet) so this is not a showstopper.The colour is identical on both sides, which is what I wanted. Several other producs had different colour linings. Note that in the photo I have the interior lights on, which is why the room doesn't look especially blacked out! Also, there is light leakage from the sides, because the curtain pole extends out a bit more than average from the wall. This isn't an issue for me. I'm not looking for a total blackout, just to stop direct sunlight coming in.I have no way of measuring the difference in thermal insulation between these and my old curtains, and I would say that this is just a bit of advertising puff and not to be taken seriously. Similarly with the acoustic properties. I can't discern any differences in keeping external noise out, making sure internal noise does not get out, or in acoustically treating my room against early reflections and other unwanted acoustic artefacts. It was the implied acoustic properties that made me buy these curtains in the first place, and I don't think they score well in this regard. Secondary to this was the blackout properties and I give that 4 out of 5 in terms of how effective they are. You certainly can't see any light through the material itself. Thermal insulation wasn't on my decision list but again, I can't discern any tangible improvement. I'll review that in the summer to see if it keeps the room cooler, but at the moment (mid spring) it's certainly not keeping the room any warmer.All that said, I will be keeping the curtains and telling clients who visit the studio that they have special acoustic properties that help them sing better :-)
