Cat Sitter DVD Trilogy - Vol 1, Vol 2 and Vol 3

I bought these pre the times you could watch YouTube on your “smart” TV and Prime videos. My cats loved it. I remember one time my boy jumped behind the TV because the bird flew that way.

I bought this for my parents cat which I take care of when they are out of town. I use a laptop computer on the floor and turn it on. He likes the rats the best and at first tried to see where they were coming from -- looking behind the computer screen etc. Now he watches the video until he is so tired he can't keep awake -- then he pushes the lap top screen flat on the rug and lays on top. I think he does that so the rats and birds can't get out without waking him up. I did not think about the dog liking this video until I saw him laying close to the computer and watching the cat interact with the video. He doesn't want to leave the area -- even to follow me around the house like he does when no video is playing. Great buy --a must have -- if they make a 4th volume I hope it has more cats on it. Our cat likes the Producers cut that has just cats on it . Instead of batting at the screen he rolls over like he wants to be friends -- today he rolled off the bed. I bought the video for him but the whole housewhole loves to watch him enjoy it.

If I had gotten just volume two, I would have given it five stars, but since I got the trilogy, I can only give it three stars. I read all the reviews, and knew that vol. two was the best, hands down, but for few extra dollars I decided to get all three in a combo pack. Since birds are a natural source of food for cats (feral) it was natural that they were instantly attracted to vol. two. Contrary to all the cartoons, cats are not fishermen, and thus, fish, either in a bowl or in the wild are not something they are naturally attracted to. Since gerbils and guinea pigs are not native where I live, they could have been little dogs as far as my cats could tell. Rodents are also a natural food, so volume one was much better than volume three. Also, the quality could have been better (for my eyes only) but my cats could care less about video quality... they just see birds.. LOL

I bought this video on the advice of a dear friend that runs a pet sitting business. I am retired and spend a lot of time doing volunteer work. When I moved to a place that would allow pets I adopted a 5 year old five toed cat!! She has become the love of my life. I felt guilty leaving her alone, so I ordered the video. She LOVES it!! Being an indoor cat it gives her the feel of being outdoors. When I get ready to leave the apartment she sits in front of the TV and looks at the DVD player and then the TV and meows until I set up the video for her!! She could be sound asleep, but when a certain part of the video comes on, she jumps up and stares at the TV hoping to catch the bluebird!! Highly recommend!

I bought the triliogy and have tested out all the DVDs. It appears that volume 2 is the most well received of the three and the one I would recommend. It's funny to watch my cat watch it bc she looks behind the TV trying to find the birds. I turn this on sometimes when I'm leaving the house, by the time I get home, she doesn't seem to be paying attention anymore but figured she'd at least enjoy the sounds.

I purchased the Trilogy with hoping my two cats, age 3 and 5 would be interested. The 3 yr old cat was fascinated for about 15 minutes but when the same pictures came on, she got bored. The 5 year old watched for about a few minutes but then walked away. It is possible that because we have a wonderful courtyard full of greenery and trees and one of my neighbors has a bird feeder, that there is enough going on outside that they prefer real life versus a taped version. I will more than likely pass this on to a friend who has cats that don't have as much wildlife to watch as mine do.

My cat loves it! When my spouse left for a work trip for 3+ months my cat would sit and cry by the door every day. I also work midnights and felt guilty leaving him home alone, all sad and lonely. I purchased these DVD's that were recommended by another cat mom, and my cat loves them! I put them on before I go to work and when I come home he is still in bed watching them. These DVD's have the option to play on a continuous loop so it's very convenient. If your cat likes to watch TV, go ahead and try these!

Never in a million years would I have believed that these videos would work on cats...but I was willing to be a gambler and try them. THEY DO!I have five cats which pretty much live in different areas of the house because they don't get along. I bought the three DVD set and was amazed at how quickly my cats became addicts. One cat will ask me to play this for him by sitting at the TV and looking at me. If I turn on the DVD and he's in another room he will high tail it over asap just to perch near the TV to watch. These are simply amazing.
