A True Classic
I have owned the original CD given to me by Word Perfect in 1993. I was blown away by the music then-- and now nearly 10 years later. I was also there when Kurt made his appearance and played for a private Word Perfect Party introducing us to his wonderful music and WP5. Funny, but the music has stood the test of time, and is better now before-- and has survived WP5.0!Like many others I have played the original so often that it amazes me how Kurts music has stood the test of time. I'll even admit I made a copy of the WP original for myself, because one day I lost the CD and went into a panic, because the music was not available for public purchase! (Talk about devotion.)The story of Innovators is a wonderful classic that follows other classical music stories of various parts and pieces of be the best innovators in history. It's a MUST HAVE. Get it while it's available.

Outstanding
I had this when it was originally released. It is quite a brilliant work. Some incredible music here. Each cut different than the last and the Fidelity is unequaled, even after all these years. Prayers Of The Children is a Classic!

Very Soothing
This CD, which includes ONE song from Rhonda Byrnes 'The Power', really has a lot of great music on it. This CD introduced me to Mr. Bestor who really has new age-style talent in his music. Not as good as Yanni and Enya, but good all the same. Without listening to 'The Power' and writing down the credits at the end of the book on CD, I would never have happened upon Bestors work.

Bravo! A beautiful title! I first heard Electric Highway on satellite TV, and had to have the title. Some of the songs are slow and soothing enough for my massage sessions. Others motivate and raise the spirit, others command quiet reflection, and others pull at the heart strings, requiring tears.I definitely recommend this title. The CD jacket has inspiring and emotional stories as well.

Some of the cuts are a bit shmaltzy, but Prayer for the Children, and Sage of Lamberene are so innovative, and so moving, as to make the album worth buying. Easily

Wonderful, varied program
This is a fine effort, combining different sounds and genres well. I like it very much. It's quite original and the performances are good.

Five Stars
Excellent feel-good music with a great orchestral sound. I have most all of Sam Cardon and Kurt Bestor's work.

Love it!
I've had this CD since it first came out. In fact, I've replaced it twice since then as I've given it away that many times to others who've heard it with me. While not traditionally categorized easily, I love the build-up, exposition, and conclusion of almost all the tracks. Some, especially the latter ones such as Prayer of the Children, are hauntingly wonderful. There's enough variety to keep it interesting from first track to last. All but two of the tracks on this CD were actually distributed years ago as part of a promotion by WordPerfect (to introduce WP6, if memory serves, with the first track a demo of WP [which caused havoc with speakers when played on a stereo!]) but that CD had oversaturation in some tracks (notably in the Barber Adagio for Strings - like track called Requiem). That oversaturation doesn't exist in the formal release CD, and comparing the two side by side, the overall dynamic range and quality of the recording seems much better on the original CD compared to the WP6 version. There is a DVD of the music, with accompanying narrative (taken from the PBS series), but I prefer the CD to the DVD.As an audiophile with several extremely expensive setups, I often use this disk as a demonstration of what's possible with high-end audio systems. It's great for the audiophile, but from a purely music-listening point of view, this one still holds me (rare for demo discs). I own the sequel, Innovators 2, and that's not close to the music on this disc for me, nor are any of Cardon's or Bestor's solo discs. But this one stands out all the way. One of my 10 desert-island discs without a doubt. Sometimes hard to track down, it's worth the effort.

Delivery was fast, but the CD delivered was the freebie given away way back when to advertise the wordperfect software, and not as per the advertised picture which is the standard release.Having said that, it was the music content I was looking for to replace one I mislaid. In that sense, it was all there.
