Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2, Wand, 1.33 gal.

I just moved into a unit that has been uninhabited for months and thus hasn't been sprayed, touched, cleaned. I'm out in the wild wild west where there are spiders like you wouldn't believe, their food source: crickets, and many thick bushes and trees. After doing a deep clean, vacuuming/wiping baseboards and cabinets and mopping, I sprayed this around the entire interior on the baseboards, all around the doors, in corners, and the outside perimeter. Within thirty minutes, spiders and various other pests are found left and right upturned and dead. The following morning, a whole load of baby spiders were also found dead outside the dishwasher. I sprayed the trash, left it outside with trash in it, and nothing even went near it. I cleaned up the dead bugs and did one more spray and I haven't seen anything for days. The product is very easy to use. You simply connect the sprayer to the bottle, unlock it, and press the trigger. You can do this in 20 minutes or less depending on the size of your space. There's no smell at all. The only thing is that whatever you spray, this liquid will take hours to dry, so I would limit it to the baseboards or places you don't really walk on. Even if you step in it, it isn't sticky and it won't burn or hurt or anything. As someone with such arachnophobia this has helped immensely. Also, butterflies and moths still come around the flowers and seem not to be affected by it. In other words, the spray keeps the unwanted pests away and doesn't deter the desired ones. And though it defends from pests, it will make a safespace from within the perimeter you spray. So all the spiders in the world can live on away from your home. Also the size of this stuff will likely last several months considering how little is required per spray session, thereby making it worth the price. After the pest problem has been maintained, I only spray every two weeks, and even at that, I may lower it to once a month. 5/5

This is my favorite for protecting the house and I use it in my garage. It’s very easy to spray and the effectiveness is great excellent value for the price as well as a good size for the price and I don’t have any leakage issues with the sprayer that comes with it although sometimes the sprayer will stop working but that’s minor compared to the benefit keeping my house pest free.

Had ant infestation in the spring. In along the baseboards, kitchen, living room, dining room. Drove me nuts. They were everywhere, on the floor, walls, counter tops. I cleaned swept stomped spread borax inside all to no avail. Purchased this, used less than a 1/4, sprayed the outside permitter. In one day, no more ants. Did this in the spring, it is now early fall (August). Many storms, much rain. Still no ants. I also noticed a vast reduction with spiders as well as other Connecticut crawlers. The spray wand is a god send, easiest spray unit I have ever used. No leaks. No smell that I recall. I did notice that ants from outside would come close to the outside perimeter and turn away. The product worked for me, but I am retired, have visits from granddaughter (age 5) and no pets. Granddaughter did not come over when I sprayed and it dried in about two hours. Is it worth the money? Do you like insects that belong outside? Your call.

When I moved into my new place I found out that I had extra gifts spending the night evidently, critters called roaches. The stuff that the property uses clearly does nothing whatsoever. So now I'm on a quest to find the best thing that I can to get rid of these disgusting things. This spray doesn't kill on contact but it kills after they keep walking through where it's been spraying, if I'm understanding correctly. After week I took everything out after the initial spray and sprayed the area again, placing everything back in the cabinets after it had been washed wiped down etc. so far all I'm seeing is a few roaches with a few babies. Which I guess I'm going to have to take everything out again and respray everything down since it is better than when I first moved in the first night. So so far I am more pleased than when I first moved in and considering the dead bugs I'm finding when I go in after a week to vacuum and clean everything out, I am thinking that I'm going to be pretty happy with this. The sprayer that comes with it is convenient and makes it super easy without having to do contortions to reach the top of cabinets. It also doesn't seem to have any negative odor that I have found. So so far so good and I would recommend it.

oh my goodness, this product is a lifesaver. We had sewer fly larva coming onto our bathroom floors (we have two bathrooms) and could never figure out what to do my husband taped and caulked and they are so tiny that that did not work. We sprayed this stuff and are amazed. No more bugs crawling on our floor. We have a cat and this product is completely safe for pets after it dries. For anybody that has Pest in the house that you can’t get rid of ants or whatever. This stuff works and it is meant for inside the house. But I had my husband sprayed the threshold of the three door to our home to keep spiders out. Will always keep a supply of this. It is reasonably priced for what it does. It is supposed to last a year but we use it every month even though we don’t have to because I can’t have lie sewer or fly larva coming out and crawling on my floor if I ever have guests, that would be a disaster. I saw other people online that had this bathroom problem and wish that I had gotten the ortho in Home insecticide before I saw those because that’s what I would’ve recommended. The price is reasonable. I am happy happy happy with the product and I hope they never stop making it

Rarely do I go back to leave a review but wow, this stuff works. I accidentally left a pizza box in my kitchen after my backyard had been cleared and the ants found it via a crack in my back door. By the time I found it there were thousands of ants in the pizza box and along the trail they made inside my house, I had no way to stop them. I threw away the pizza box but they started scouting everywhere in my kitchen into the living room. Overnighted this and sprayed at the crack at the back door and along the backside of my house. Instant death for the ants. They have COMPLETELY disappeared within a day. Barely had to use any, this stuff works amazingly well.

I will always purchase this spray. Years ago, when I was living in an apartment, my neighbor had cockroaches. And this spray single handedly prevented an infestation at my apartment. It works quite well, and it lasts for a while. I'm like some of the other options. It doesn't have a strong smell, so it doesn 't cause my asthma to flare up.

Definitely kills bugs but the barrier part isn't great. If you have very minor issues, it will give you peace of mind. But I had to get a professional out to get the job done right.

Have used this product before in the Caribbean. No roaches or the like for 5 years so I know it works. Pretty hefty price tag though for shipment to the UK when much lower price on the other side of the pond. But the heart wants what the heart wants…
