Never put your P900 directly on the tripod.
I am writing this review in hopes that I can protect someone else from what happened to me. I had my camera about 6 weeks when I decided to put it on my tripod. I had it on the tripod one time and this is what happened. What happened was I had it on the tripod once and not for long. So I had just left the tripod attachment on it. Then I had it in my lap when I was texting a friend about changing the settings. So after changing my settings I took my camera and set it on the Dining room table. When I got ready to go to the field I just picked up my camera and left. I get out in the corn and set up the tripod and look at the camera and there is just a hole.? 😫😫😫 I was so up set. I just left the deer and when home. I went straight to the dinning room table and there laid the tripod piece and the other pieces were all crumbled on the table. I had never seen anything like it. I noticed that the 4 screws are just drilled into the black plastic bottom of the camera with no support plate. I started doing some research and found out that it Appears to be a defect. It has happened to a lot of people. They have moved the tripod mount to the side of the camera ( Example the P610 is in the center) which makes sense to balance the weight. So the new model camera P900 is much heavier so it cracks from the weight, no support plate and due to poor design in my opinion. So I will say this camera can give you amazing photos and I was very pleased until this happened. Nikon is not willing to take any responsibility. Which will make me return to Canon who I have been using for the last 20 plus years. If you buy this camera never attach it directly to the tripod. You can purchase a Tripod Collar for about $15 on Amazon and it will solve the problem. I wish some one had of told me that before I wasted my $500. So I got lucky in the fact that the camera was never dropped or never fell off the Tripod. I hope this helps.

Everything with the camera is Crap
Don't waste your money buying this camera with all this crap. Save the 50 dollars(or what ever it is) and just get the camera alone. Then take the money you saved and get a real tripod, and what ever else you may need. Basically everything except the camera is worthless junk including the tripod which I would definitely not trust to hold up my camera. The only thing that is alright and I think I might actually use is the bag and maybe the microSD card.On the other hand the camera is really nice so far and exactly what I expected unlike the other stuff.

DO NOT BUY "Grey market" meaning NOT A NIKON REPUTABLE DEALER
I was going to write a GREAT review but instead......I am absolutely infuriated.....I have had this camera now for a year I did not realize it was international & is a "grey market" product so if anything happens you cannot get it fixed by Nikon as you need proof of purchase & not just the amazon proof of purchase you need proof off purchase from the dealer as well........... Now I cannot find BuzzPhoto anywhere to be able to get proof of purchase! My camera has never been exposed to any elements, never dropped, & very well taken care of!! So yesterday out of the blue while taking photos of my nephew I got the black screen of death on both the LCD screen & the veiw finder which makes me believe this camera was refurbished as Nikon cameras last years without having these problems & exactly 1 year from the date I received it I get black screens! Now if this was a reputable NIKON seller it would have included warranty or if it was not a refurbished camera & not grey market! I will be contacting AMAZON to track down who this dealer is! I AM NOT HAPPY AS NOW ITS GOING TO COST A HELL OF A LOT MORE TO FIX THEN IT WOULD IF IT WASN'T GREY MARKET!! Besides this problem yes this camera is absolutely amazing & the picture quality is outstanding but DO NOT BUY INTERNATIONAL OR GREY MARKET BUY FROM A REPUTABLE NIKON DEALER DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!

Great camera
This camera does everything I wanted it to do. The one thing I want to point out that I didn't read anywhere. The camera will only recognize memory cards that are 128GB or less. Nikon recommends Lexar or SanDisk.

A Great Digital Camera
I like this camera so much because the 83x optical zoom allows me to take great closeups wherever I am without carrying all my lenses, etc. It's a great Bridge Camera for those who are exploring photography.

Best bridge camera for sure
This camera is amazing from macro to telephoto. A bit difficult to focus manually in large distance scenarios.

The camera did not work
The camera never worked. It was broken. I shipped it to Nikon and after weeks coming back and forth with documentation, they claimed that it was a "gray market" product and thus, Nikon US will not fix it. Luckily I purchased extra insurance BUT I am still dealing with it. So in summary, this has been so far a very negative experience with the seller, with Nikon, and with the platform (Amazon).
