This product, web site and application on Android do work very well
My application was simply to monitor the temperature on my separate refrigerator and freezer in my house and if the door is accidently left open or ajar, to alert me of dangerously high temperatures. I bought the external temperature probes with the unit. I also purchased extension outlets that each had USB outputs to power the devices rather than relying only on their internal batteries. I'm very happy with these IOT devices and their performance as well as value. As devices go, these are great value, work well and for someone who works with industrial devices (i.e. PLMs), I am very pleased. The challenge for many people will be the user interface is a little unusual and takes some time to learn and adjust to. You also have to get used to the delays between the unit and the web site/application since the devices sync on intervals, not continuously.Running the units and thermocouples for a few days I identified better settings for the fridge and freezer. I also realized that the units were cycling in and out of freezing ranges which was damaging the food. So, these helped me improve the refrigeration and freezing process. It take take me a few resets of the devices to get them settled down and syncing with Wifi reliably. They are now rock solid. It is a little strange seeing the devices showing "low voltage" running at 5V on USB vs. the 6.4 on the batteries, but if the power fails, it will switch to the higher battery voltage. There are some other odd things like setting limits to 40F and the user interface converting it to 39.9999... None of these things are serious nor would they make me not buy the units.I'm really happy I purchased these devices before the recent pandemic since replacing an entire supply of food in the fridge or freezer due to an ajar door is especially inconvenient. I was able to pay for the device and thermocouple with the savings of a single lost fridge.

Very versatile product with a ton of uses!
Product does what it is supposed to and is very simple to configure. It works seamlessly with IFTTT which is what makes this such a consumer friendly product. I use it to monitor my humidor, and it will turn on /turn off the cooling as well as the humidifier, through 2 Smart Life WiFi outlets, which will, in the event of over humidification, save the cigars. It can be calibrated on the website if the readings are not exact...and it runs for 8-12 months on a single set of batteries. I haven't found anything as good or better for my tasks. I've fully automated my setup and I get notifications whenever an event occurs.I bought a 2nd unit without the LCD, but with an external temperature probe to monitor my pool temps. So for $100.00, I now have a a reliable pool temperature monitor. I haven't found anything that works on wifi at anything close to that cost!

Stopped working
I used this device, along with the additional probe for about 1 year. It did as advertised and I found the IFFFT integration and data logging to be adequate for my needs, and it also alerted me of a major environmental event saving my plants in the process. I really like this device and all that it can do. That said, It then remained plugged in and turned on, however in an inconvenient location where it became “out of sight, out of mind”. Today I found that the batteries leaked, it looked relatively fresh since it was jelly-like rather than the crusty. I cleaned the device carefully, placed new batteries and: The device is dead.I’m disappointed to find the absence of any evident reset button. I’m also very disappointed in the overall quality of this device as dead batteries shouldn’t destroy the device, especially when it powers externally as well; the batteries being for power outages to allow the device to continue to log data. Maybe it’s my bad luck, maybe they’re poorly designed. Very disappointed in a product I was previously quite impressed with. Time reveals all I suppose.

So Far, Great for Monitoring Aquarium Temperature
Got this to be able to monitor aquarium temperature from afar (using the accessory "DS18B20" sensor we also purchased on Amazon from the maker of this device, that connects to this device by USB-micro) . The base station connects to our home wifi, and we can then check temperatures via their app on our phone. We set the app to send notifications to our phone if the sensor/water temperature goes above or below thresholds.Set up was pretty easy once we realized we didn't need to decipher the instructions as-written, took less than 5 mins. The instruction manual has QR code to link you to download the app to your phone, once you have the app on your phone and you create an account, you can then scan the QR code on the product to facilitate connecting it to first your phone, and then to you house wifi.

Temp Stick is the easiest to install temperature monitor that I have ever seen. And it is incredible accurate. The best products are the ones that work and are easy to install - these are both.
