Q: Can a phoograph be pluged into the aux inputs to transcribe LP's to a cd?

Yes and no. Turntables (and their cartridges) have a low output voltage and require a preamp to boost the signal for playback. With that in mind, turntables with a built-in phono preamp may be connected directly to the AUX IN of the PSD450mkII for recording. Turntables connected to a stereo receiver or integrated amp with a built-in phono preamp can also be used. Then, the signal from the receiver or integrated amp may be routed through the tape out jacks, pre out jacks, or line out jacks to the AUX IN jacks on the PSD450mkII for recording. If your turntable does not have a built-in phono preamp, you cannot connect it directly to the PSD450mkII for recording. However, you may purchase a standalone phono preamp that connects between your turntable and the PSD450mkII. Simply connect the cables from your turntable to the input jacks of the phono preamp. Then, with another set of cables, connect the output of the phono preamp to the AUX IN jacks of the PSD450mkII for recording. RCA cables are used for connections in all of the above examples. Phono preamps can be purchased on Amazon with many priced well under $100. If you're unsure if your turntable has a built-in phono preamp, please let us know the brand and model number of your turntable and we'll check for you.

This machine has no integrity compared to my old PDS300

It very quickly out of the gate had a problem with CD duplication... no matter what I did it stopped using the word burn e.g. it will use the term ripping when I put a CD to duplicate in the machine, then when I remove that CD and I put a blank CD in I can’t get it to say burn CD it continues to say now ripping CD which is ridiculous and of course at the end of the nightmare nothing goes on the blank CD
