I can't be happier with this purchase. I was nervous buying a refurb, worrying what I would get. But the hood was shipped by Hauslane in the original box. Everything was packed like new, all the protective coverings and components included. It was in perfect condition. Can't tell it from new.But as another reviewer noted, if you need to use the rectangular vent, the dimension to the center of the vent in the instructions is wrong. If you use that dimension without measuring, the hole you cut for the duct will be off by over 1/2-inch.

The hood itself is fantastic! Great suction, and uniform across the whole area. See the attached picture, even at the lowest speed it is still giving enough suction to hold up paper towel pieces across the entire surface. It's also fairly quiet, less noisy than what I expected from other reviews: it does get a bit noisy at full speed, but you rarely will need to operate at maximum speed, and even then it's still tolerable.The assembly instructions are poor, and most importantly they do not include a paper template for screws and holes location (which is something that literally every other hood manufacturer include). Without a template, and very minimal tolerance on screws placement for the mounting hardware, it's very difficult to install this behemoth that weighs 41lbs.Also, the customer service could seriously improve. The shipment on my first order was so delayed that Amazon canceled the order because it timed out. When I resubmitted the order, it took several back and forth with customer service to make sure it would ship before Amazon canceled the order again. Overall, it took 27 days from when I placed the first order to when I actually received the hood.

So far, so good. Setting the clock is funky.

The price for this refurb was too good to pass up. I've seen some others' video reviews which made it sound super quiet, but unfortunately I think the phones used to record those videos had some automatic noise suppression because it is much louder in person. Disappointing, but it works and was a good deal.

Very powerful fans, but somewhat loud even at lowest speed. Installation very difficult, even for three handy individuals. Part of the problem - the dimension to the center of the top rectangular vent is WRONG. Measure it.

Heavy duty. Refurbishment was perfect. No issues. Very good value. No incentive received for review.

Only reason not a 5 star is the touch control panel is not very sensitive. Takes 2-3 touches to respond.
