A: The powder is a preventative and can be used as a dry shampoo.  The paste is for wound care, bug bites, and a number of other issues.  The paste is a poultice, it draws and dries and allows natural healing to occur.  The ingredients in both products are similar, both products are all natural.

**Q: can the powder be mixed with a little water to make a thin paste?**
A: Yes, you can mix the powder with water, but the most effective treatment for most issues is the Coat Defense TROUBLE SPOT DRYING PASTE.  There is no water in the Coat Defense TROUBLE SPOT DRYING PASTE.

**Q: Can you use on a wet coat?**
A: You can use the powder on a damp coat, it is excellent for moisture wicking, drying sweat and as a final dry!  Though if your horse is soaking wet, towel dry first, apply powder, let it set for 30 minutes and brush out.  Repeat as necessary.

**Q: is there a way to get it on their belly/underside?**
A: For difficult to reach places such as the underbelly, we strongly recommend Coat Defense Trouble Spot Drying Paste.
