Fit is as expected and hits me just as it does for the model in the photo and I am 5'6, 165 pounds. The fabric isn't amazingly soft, but I haven't put it through the wash yet either. I think a little fabric softener can do wonders. Right now it just feels like a normal hospital gown. It snaps all the way down the back for added privacy without feeling like your tushy is out for the world to see. The ties on the front give make it more decent for any hospital visitors, especially during checks. I loved having my own special gown and the nurses loved it too. It made the experience that much more special for me. The nurse didn't use the slit in the tummy to adjust the monitors, it ended up faster and easier for her to just lift the whole gown up and get to them that way.
