Does the job, just not particularly enjoyable to use!The top rim of my vacuum arrived bent out of shape so needed a little fettling to great an airtight fit.Pros:• cheap• does the jobCons:• really loud (Id seriously recommend ear protection to prevent damage to your ears).• short lead, not practical unless you have a socket close to your woodburner.• short hose.• gets extremely hot.• filter gets clogged up with ash, a removable/washable bag over the filter would have been ideal.

Used for cleaning ash from wood burning stove and hearth. Keeps the dust down compared to dustpan and brush.Like all vacuums fitted with a Hepa filter it needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain best suction.

The suction is ok but the filter clogs up after just 2 uses and takes too long to get clean.

For the price paid this is a good hoover.
