An excellent and versatile pedestal fan!
You know how, when you angle a fan to blow at you, after a little while, that constant flow of air gets a little uncomfortable? Well, I don't know how I missed this specific feature of this fan, but it has a "nature" mode where the fan cycles periodically through the different fan speeds to vary the flow. This has been a revelation to me! It is really a wonderful feature and feels almost like a "natural" breeze, rather than just a constant flow. I've never heard of such a setting on a fan, and this is really fantastic. There are an additional 2 modes: one, where it's just like a normal, constantly-blowing fan; and another, called "sleep" where it cycles through the low and medium speeds. These mode functions are really cool! I didn't know fans could do that! The build quality is really solid. It's actually a much heavier fan than I was expecting. Not so heavy that it can't be easily moved, but it feels really solid and stable. The base is smaller than other fans I've seen, but it is heavy enough that it still is really stable without wobbling around. It wasn't difficult to put together at all, though I did have to set the grill a couple of times in order to line up the label properly. It's not a criticism, and if you don't care about that sort of thing, you can just slap the grill (cage?) on any old way. I'm not sure what the function of the little blades that go on top of the larger blades. Don't really know what it does... But I'm surprised at how quiet it is. Much quieter than even my window fan and little desktop fan. I'd say the size is kind of medium-large, but it really moves air like a larger fan! The oscillation is wide, too, and the head can be angled quite high and low. This isn't a wholly "budget" kind of fan, but it's not too expensive either. I'm really pleased with it - as a kind of step up from my old cheapie fans. Highly recommended!

Well-made fan with many options and remote
I'm actually impressed with my new Amazon Basics 16" Pedestal Fan with Remote. This is a well-made fan for the price. The base is quite heavy so it doesn't vibrate and shake like my old standing fan. It's much larger and taller than my old fan, too, so measure your spot so it fits. The cord (two-pronged) is plenty long enough at a bit over 5', I'm guesstimating. There is an oscillating option with a telescoping up and down fan height pole, and the head tilts up and down a small bit as well. The pole is the one thing I find ugly as everything else is black but the pole is shiny silver -- nothing earthshaking though and I like mine set very low so the pole doesn't show anyhow. The interesting feature is the "Mode" option which varies the fan speed to mimic the rhythm of natural breezes, according to the manual. There is a sleep option as well which I haven't yet tried but should come in handy. The one con is that it comes in many pieces and in a heavy box that is inside an even heavier, larger box. For me, a 5' 0" grandma with a hip replacement, it wasn't easy to get it into the house and out of the boxes, but I managed. I'll post pics of the many pieces you must put together. It's not as bad as that might sound. It probably took me a little over 40 minutes BUT I was taking many photos and a video in that time as well. The included booklet has very good instructions. It is a little clumsy at times when building it solo -- the head and guards wanted to roll around -- so I just propped them up with pillows and voila! The remote works great, but be aware that the two AAA batteries for the remote are NOT included. Also, you need a small Phillips head screw driver for one step but that also is not included. This fan makes a very pleasant sound, nothing harsh, but boy it can really move the air! Hi-speed nearly knocks me over. :) TIPS: Remember to remove the shipping piece off the back of the blade before assembling-- kinda looks like a black plastic clothespin! (See pic) Also, when you are assembling the 2 fan blade guards (round wire covers), make sure you have the "nubs" lined up in the fan guards' grill in back and front. (See pics) There are two plastic fan blades, a larger and a smaller one. When assembling the smaller blade onto the larger blade, you'll be screwing a large plastic "nut" onto a metal spindle (looks like an upside down end of a large bolt). This secures the second, smaller blade. That nut must be turned CLOCKWISE or it won't go on at all. (Another pic) Hold onto the larger fan blade to make things easier. I posted many pics and a video for the fan sound and remote. Really, it's not as intense as it might sound.

High-quality fan that is easy to assemble with no tools.
For its price point this fan exceeded my expectations. Unlike other pedestal fans I had purchased in the past, this one has a sturdy, square, not round base that is weighted for stability. The pole, it made of quality metal, not plastic like other brands with height easily adjusted by a simple easy to turn screw. But not so heavy that it cannot be easily moved and it even comes with a remote so you can easily change the fan speed, it has three from across the room. Unlike other pedestal fans this one actually has two fan blades for greater cooling and the fan even at high speed is whisper quiet and can be set to either stay in one position or oscillate. No tools are required to assemble the fan, but I do think the instructions on assembly included with the fan could have been more detailed. Note: When installing the second smaller fan blade make sure you screw it on, COUNTER clockwise which is not clearly explained in the instructions. I fought for 5 minutes trying to screw it on clockwise with a small illustration with no explanation showing it in the instructions. Conclusion, I highly recommend this pedestal fan for anyone looking to purchase a quality fan at a reasonable price.

Does the job & works with a remote [included] or by itself. Its a good fan
Being honest? I wanted to get a complete different pedestal fan- But even with Prime it was not going to arrive the next day. The a/c was OUT for everyone in my apartments [Old building- "2 pipe system" with a chiller] & is still is out actually. Needed immediately to work alongside my existing fans and yes - they do work. Fairly simple but I do not very much understand the point of level 1 at all. Levels 2&3 actually do something. Is IS very quiet & assemblely was easy on one of the two i ordered & super hard on the other as i was sent a used one. PLUGS INTO THE WALL- decent quality & arrived quickly. Has a remote- but it will also work if your just press the buttons on the fan manually. Each remote takes x2 triple A [AAA size] batteries & they have so far lasted for a while. Either remote works with either fan. Materials are a mix of plastics & metals. It is adjustable & the "Ossicatling" feature as well as most of the features can be turned off/on. The actual fan can either point as it is in the listing photo- straightforward or it can also be tiled UPWARDS ⬆️ or DOWNWARDS ⬇️. Great choice to save up floor space & was helpful if you need fans RIGHT NOW. I just kinda expected it to be a little bit better as far as the power of the fan & cooling performance is to be honest. They do save space over a box fan & the base is plenty heavy not worried about it falling in a home with limited space & children. Photos include 2 of the same fan in 2 different rooms

Excellent, I can't imagine the heat of summer without it anymore!
I purchased this Amazon Basics 16" Pedestal Fan for my home, and I'm actually using it right now as I write this review! Living in Texas, the summer heat can be intense, and this fan has been a lifesaver. It keeps my room cool and comfortable, making those hot nights so much more bearable. I can finally enjoy a pleasant night's sleep without constantly waking up feeling overheated. The airflow is strong yet quiet, so it doesn't disturb my sleep, and I love being able to adjust the settings with the remote without getting out of bed. The adjustable height and oscillation help cool the entire room, and it was very easy to assemble. This fan has definitely saved me from the Texas heat, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, quiet, and effective fan for a comfortable night's sleep.

definitely recommend!!
I would definitely recommend this fan. Absolutely worth the money! You do need a small screw driver for one screw but overall the fan is easy to put together. It pushes a lot of air even on the lowest setting and is super quiet. I never realized how terrible my old fan was until getting this new one.

Air Mover
This fan works fine. It was simple to put together, despite what the instructions said! It moves the air around nicely. It a little bit quieter than most stand fans. Not sure if the double blades help, but it’s the air flow is generous. The remote is a bonus! It takes up space with its large fan and wide supportive base. If you are limited by space, purchase a fan that’s more compact.

Dose what fans more than twice the price.
I have only had this fan for a few days, however it was well packed and and easy to assemble. It appears well built from the very sturdy base to the sturdy fan cage. The motor is silent and the controls work well. As far as the air flow, it is extremely strong if you want or a mild breeze. The airflow is also very complete from the edges of the blades to the center. I very much appreciate that efficiency. The double blades send a high volume where you want it and spread at distance. I am using it to replace a two year old different make that did not do what it advertised. The fan is helping keep air from a large room that gets more warm or cool air from winter hearing and very hot summers. My forces air hearting and cooling needs another zone to keep a better balance and even after adjusting the dampers it's still uneven. Adding a zone is extremely expensive and a fan that looks nice isn't really noticed. It has the features of fans twice the price. For now I will spend less than $50 and get the airflow that would cost me several thousand. It is moving air approximately 30' with no issue. So far I highly recommend.
