Thanks! **Q: What it the waist size for medium versus large?** A: I don't claim this for everyone, but for me specifically, the sizing chart they use (and some other companies use) seem incorrect. I wear 34" waist pants but 34" waist underwear is way too small so I always have to go one size up. I found this applies to me with Gildan, Hanes, and Fruit of the Loom. The same applies to their undershirts, too. I wear a medium in most shirts, but with undershirts, medium is way too tight and even tighter (and shorter) after the first wash, but large fits a little loose before the first wash and just right after. **Q: Do they shrink in hot water wash?** A: Mine were fine after washing **Q: Is the waist band cotton as well?** A: Hi, David. Thank you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ comfortable and true to size *by on Reviewed in the United States September 17, 2026* I bought 3 different brands, New Balance, Gildan and Bamboo Cool! LOL. I've tried one of each so this is not a long term review. I have no idea how long any will last but I didn't see any problems with them at this point. All 3 are comfortable, the NB are probably the thinnest overall with light elastic on both the waist band and leg openings. The Gildan are the heaviest with the thickest waistband and leg opening elastic. The bamboo cool are thin material like the NB and have a light elastic around the legs openings but the waist is more like a traditional fruit of the loom type brief. I actually like this waist band the best. The fly opening on all 3 is easy access, not a lot of overlap. Which is fine with me but others may not like it as much. Overall I give them all 5 stars. Ima make this real easy for you; If you want your balls to be more supported get a small, if you want a slightly more roomy but comfortable fit go with medium although it’ll look a little off when you’re in the locker room so go with a smaller inseam.As for the actual product itself it’s pretty well made, comfortable, and made with 100% Cotten if that’s a concern for you but just down order the same mistake I made since the sizes run a bit larger than what is advertised. Their prices kept going up so I decided to try these Gildan brand ones. They fit the same way, and remain super soft, which is great. I ordered the same size as my Hanes, but the other ones stretch out throughout the day and over time. These remain true to size throughout long days and over the months of wear. The color has not faded, they’re still lightweight and breathable, moisture isn’t a problem because it keeps me mostly dry, and they are still a great choice after all these months. I’m still proud to own and wear them and I appreciate that they are highly affordable. Because they’re do not stretch out over time, anyone who is on the border of a size should definitely choose the bigger size.
