Good product suffers in shipment
The 36x36 sheet metal is just fine, as is the price. One star off, not because of the sheet metal as such, but because it got bent in several places in shipping. If you want a perfectly flat piece, as I did, you take your chances with the shipper. I wondered how it would arrive perfectly flat, and it did not, although it seemed reasonably well packaged within cardboard. I needed a flat piece to affix to a wall upon which to place photographs using magnets. Once bent, the piece is difficult to make flat again. But again, the problem lies more with the shipper than with the product which, if not bent, is very nice for the price.

good but greasy
I ordered two of these to attach to my office wall for a magnetic surface. I tried cleaning the oily grease off with mineral spirits, soap and water, and a coup0le other cleaners. Nothing worked, and worse, the first time i tried to clean off the oil it make streaks all over the metal. I ended up painting them with chalkboard paint and that seemed to work. They look good. The only other downside to this product is that the shipping was just as much (or more) as the product itself!

A good piece of 20 ga. Sheet Steel.
A little bit pricey but it was packaged well with no damage. Minor surface rust but that’s to be expected with untreated bare steel and isn’t a problem. The thickness seems to be 20 gauge as advertised. It’s hard to find 20 gauge sheet steel in my area. I use it to make patch panels for repairing rust holes in classic cars and this works well.
