The difference in speed is barely noticeable when gaming ie RTS, Strategy, Simulation, etc.

My Documents, Memory photos, video can save with secure password.

Luckily I did not write a review soon after I bought this. Its been a little over a year since I received this product and at the beginning it worked fine. Recently I have been plugging it in and the device is not registering, so I am unable to access it. I am currently at a loss because I have lots of back up data on this device. I bought it because of its advertised durability. There is no damage to the device and has never been dropped or roughly handled, it has just stopped working. Very Very annoyed, and would like Buffalo to help resolve. If Buffalo can help, I will add to this review, if not, buyers be warned.

I LOVE this hard drive, I trust it far more than other hard drives I’ve used in the past. It’s very durable and has a great connection, the light shows whether any files are in use in the background so you know whether ejecting is safe or not. Honestly couldn’t ask for more, does exactly as described

Integrated cable and kensington lock point are great. Encryption seems to have very little impact on data throughput / performance.
