Retire your other universal chargers, this one is best to carry
Universal chargers are essential for international business travel, but their bulky size and single plug capacity can limit their value. This is the first charger I have come across that recognizes the modern realities of technology. The result is a package that is essential on the road and extremely useful at home. Here is what I mean. The plug adapter part of the charger is good, solid and not really an area where there is mutch differentiation. The plug adapater supports US, UK, Europe/South America — to round pin and Australia plug sets. It uses easy sliding toggles on the side to find the right plug prongs. Getting the UK middle ground pin out is a little tricky but no big deal. The top of the adapter can recieve the same array of international plugs. The face is flat, there are no ridges or boarders the can make it harder to plug a device in.The real value is thin the 4 USB charging slots on the other face. Rated at 2.4A per slot, it can easily accompdate your phone, iPad of ther charging device. This is a real boon for supporting all of the various electronic devices. Regrets that ther are no USB C type slots, which would have knocked this product out of the park. The USB charging rack is handy on the road, but I am also using it at home to connect a number of USB charged devices on my desk. The compact size makes it perfect for providing power to 4 devices without requiring a huge power strip.Overall I am glad that I ordered the charger. I am already using it at home as a USB rack and look forward to using it on my next international trip.

Does the job
We had an earlier version of this, and the changes, while minor, are improvements. There's so many items that have universal voltage, but only the single plug for the country they sell in. Others come with wall warts that you can swap out the prongs for different countries, but that can be such a pain for multiple devices. This simplifies things. No need for the various items from things like that, just set this up for the country you're in, and you're good to go.Good construction, doesn't feel cheap and doesn't seem as if it will fall apart easily. For someone who travels, it's an easy decision...

Essential for international travel
I reviewed an earlier version of this product but now it's even better: the previous one had a fuse that, if blown via an overload, had to be replaced. That's been replaced with a protective cut-off that doesn't involve fuse replacement. That's rather a nice improvement.Otherwise things remain the same. One side of this cube shaped device is a socket that accepts virtually any plug: European continental, US, British, and most Asian. The other side is a series of plugs, extended and retracted via a series of sliders on another side of the cube. The plugs cover the same (large) list of countries. They lock in place and are released with a button. It all works very well.So that lets you use this as a plug adapter, but there's more. On the last side of the cube there are four USB ports used for charging. You can use them all at once. They put out up to 2.4 amps, and are controlled via a sensing chip. Maximum total current is 3.4 amps. Charging times vary with your device and number of devices connected, but the convenience here is just enormous. ONE device acts as a plug adapter and charger for most of the world. This is not inexpensive but it is well worth it. It comes with a nice little cloth zipper case and should serve the international traveler very well. Five stars for sure.

4 Sliders!... No release button!.... Easy to use!
So far so good!I haven’t OFFICIALLY tried it in a foreign outlet (yet)... however the current passes through just fine here in the US.I’ll be sure to update the review when I make the trip over to the UK & France this summer.KEEP IN MIND.... This is NOT a converter... it’s just an adapter. There’s lots of adapters out there... and they are all very similar. But what makes this one better than a lot of others?????1. No fuse to change.2. 4 Sliders- Some adapters have the USA & AUS share a slider, meaning you have to manually pivot the prongs to achieve the US or AU outlet.3. No big button to release the sliders.- on this unit the sliders lock when slid, and a slight press of each individual slider releases the lock allowing them to retracting (This makes for a much smoother operation than the alternative big button)All in all.... a great unit that I would highly recommend!(Like I said, I’ll update the review once I try it on my trip!)5 Stars so far! !

New go to international socket adapter
I have been to England once before, and for that trip, I had to buy a socket adapter. It was a pretty basic one I found at Best Buy, for probably $15 - $30 (not sure, as it was about 4 years ago). It had adapters for UK, Europe, Australia and the US and worked great for me at the time.I knew I had a new trip coming up, so I snagged this one off the Vine - and I am SO glad I did! This one is SO much better than my old one!First off, this does all the same countries but it is somehow SMALLER. Better than that - you can plug in your USB devices, more than one, so that was SUPER useful so I could charge my iPhone, my iPod and my FitBit all at the same time. I even was able to use this on my Tigi Bedhead Flatiron with no problems. This was so worth it - I brought my other travel adapter just in case this one didn't work out, but honestly, I should have left it at home, I barely used it. This socket adapter is amazing; if I do anymore international travel, I'll definitely be bringing this one.
