More than a recipe book
This book provides some wonderful stories about the Persian people, our culture, and our food. The recipes are easy to understand and execute. I really enjoyed this book.

Persian cooking
I checked this book out from the library and had to buy my own copy. The book is beautiful, with stories from the author's family that give an insight into the culture along with tasty recipes that are not too obscure or difficult for an American to pull off. I love her other book with simpler, gluten free recipes, but this one is my treasure.

Persian cookbook
This is such an elegant book. Pictures are beautiful. I haven't tried any recipes. I was raised in Iran the first few years of my life and so I have cooked Iranian forever. I've bought this book for my daughter who was born and raised outside of Iran to start practicing Persian cooking. I think she will really enjoy it. I do like to add that I wished there were more recipes in this book. The author has combined it with stories and pictures of her family and that makes the book very delightful, but less recipes fit in! I wouldn't change the character of the book though. I think it will be wonderful for my daughter to read stories about Iran, since she has never been there. The recipes are of meals that are a little more involved and less common (at least in my household). I like it because now I can also try recipes that are not usually on my weekly/monthly list.

This is a wonderful book of family recipes from Persia
This is a wonderful book of family recipes from Persia. Healthy, tasty cuisine, and a treat to serve....there's never a complaint, and always requests for more. If you live in a tiny place, all ingredients are easily available on line.....love it!

Excellent book with beautiful stories. Recipes are incredibly reflective of the utterly sophisticated, rich cuisine of Persia. Thank you for writing this book!

A beautiful and honest introduction to Persian cooking.
I borrowed this cookbook from the library, and had to buy it for my collection. If you need one Persian cookbook, then this one will inspire. And it is recent, so ingredients are available. The layout is similar to Tessa Kiros cookbooks, but this story is one of a kind. A beautiful and honest introduction to Persian cooking.

Wonderful Persian Cookbook
I used to be married to an Iranian, and I love their food. I needed a good cookbook. "Pomegranates and Roses" is a lush, beautiful cookbook with all my favorites and a lot of new recipes I want to try. The author adds a nice dash of personality to the book with anecdotes about growing up in Iran, too. The book arrived promptly and was brand new and plastic wrapped. Excellent!

Wunderschönes Kochbuch
Die Inhaltsstruktur ist vielleicht etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber dass die Autorin auch professionelle Köchin ist hat den vielen Rezepten sehr gut getan.

it was like home coming
Reading the book Pomegranates and Roses, it was like home coming! Every girl should read this book to understand the depth of family togetherness and values of their teaching, culture, cuisine etc. I have thoroughly enjoyed her book. I also possess her another book.

Romantic! Excellent! Delicious!
Pomegranates and Roses is by far the most beautiful book I bought in 2012. I hesitate to call it a cook book or a recipe book because Ariana Bundy has filled it with so much more. The stories and the romance behind each recipe is a joy to read!I bought this book - my first ever Persian purchase - to impress a boy. He is Persian and I organised a dinner party for him and his Persian friends. It seemed like a very good idea until I realised that I had absolutely no taste reference for any of the dishes I was about to embark upon. To make my life more difficult I inadvertently chose to make one of the more difficult dishes in the book - the Fassenjan.Once I got over the long ingredient list I realised all I needed was to patiently follow Arian's detailed recipe. Through Twitter I was also able to contact her directly and she virtually held my hand through the recipe. Needless to say the dinner was a massive hit. The Persian boy is long gone but I am thrilled to have invested in this gorgeous book that is a friend for life. Thank you Ariana!-p
