Again!

The illustrations in AGAIN are as cute as any I have ever seen. The story within the story is charming. That the mother dragon changes the story with each "reading" / "telling" is particularly clever since the little dragon (who clearly "LOVES" the initial version) becomes increasingly dissatisfied with both the lest "compelling" versions and with his mother's exhaustion which results in her falling asleep. The physical changes that wash over the little dragon, Cedric (same as his hero in his book) are delightful. It does seem to end a smidgeon abruptly. I hope that this author writes other books involving this adorable, precocious little dragon.

How many times can a 3 year old ask you to reread their favorite book? Well, purchase "Again" and you'll find out. Like the Papa Dragon, my son has fallen asleep long before he can satisfy my grand:daughter's desire for more and more of this wonderful story. Beautiful illustrations too. Highly, highly recommended!

This is a great story and book. Our granddaughter's love it. Gave it only 4 stars because the jacket was a wrinkled and bent when received. This was a gift.

I bought this book for my kid when she was 3 years old and recently bought it for my friends new kid. It’s an amazing book for kids and pretty much explains what my nightly routine with my kid was when she was younger.

Who hasn't been there? Again, again again to the point you can't even look at that book- Loved this story, creative, sweet and oh so true! I shall read this one again, again and again!!!

I will enjoy reading this book to my 4-year-old granddaughter, who always asks me to read a book at least 3 times in a row. The only thing I found odd was that the end didn't seem logical to me. I won't spoil it for you; you may find it to be just right. I thought the conclusion brought out an entirely new viewpoint to the story instead of a conclusion. It left me with the feeling that I'd have to explain the dragon's behavior as an improper venting of feelings. The rest of the book is a cute story about how mom gets tired out from reading the same book over and over, especially when the little one should have fallen asleep after the second reading so that mom could have "two minutes" before going to bed herself. How many of us have felt the importance of reading aloud to our children at bedtime, but also hear the call of work or fatigue and try to rush the reading instead of truly enjoying the time spent with the child, even if we DO have to read the book 3 times?

This is one of my favorite books and my son is definitely the small dragon in this book when we read it. :)

We are huge fans of her work. Cyril and Pat is a family favorite. This is great too. Kids love it.

Un libro súper divertido para los peques. Lo puedes leer tal cual o inventártelo en español y combinar los dos idiomas. Las ilustraciones muy bonitas.

A hilarious read. As for all Emily Gravett books, the story is mostly told through illustrations! A little dragon gets ready for bed and the last step is reading his favourite book. With each reading, mom dragon changes the story and the length of reading. And in the last reading she falls asleep which makes the little dragon furious. He throws a tantrum which makes the storybook characters shake! Our of rage our little dragon spit fire and burns a hole in the book (real hole in book) and the frantic attempts by characters in his favourite book to put out fire is hilarious!

Super livre. Le design du livre prend en compte l'histoire, qui parle d'un petit dragon qui a du mal à s'endormir. C'est donc un indispensable (en anglais ici) comme livre d'enfants pour le coucher.
