Trixie Natura Chicken Outdoor Run with Mesh-Covered Top, Extension for Natura Chicken Coops (55960, 55962, 55963, 55964), up to 2 Chickens (Standard Size) or 4 Bantams

Good size, great for quail. I like the size but ended up purchasing two of these wooden runs for my quail and connecting them together for a larger ground run enclosure. Assembly was straightforward, and the wood feels sturdy. To make it even more long lasting, I added wood planks to the top for shade and brackets to reinforce the inside corners. I also used brackets to anchor the run to wooden posts laid on the ground. I've had them for 2 years now, they are holding up well.

Used this as a brooder inside our bigger coop. It was perfect!! Air flow, light can shine from above, top opens to deliver food and change the water, and the bottom is open to the floor so I could simply move it and clean the floor underneath, or use it outside to let them scratch around, protected. One wall has a door opening and we attached some cardboard to keep them in, but could also set that side against a wall. Now we're going to attach this to outside our coop as intended but next set of chicks we have will definitely use this!!

Great for the price. We bought two, and they were easy to assemble. One fit together great, however the other is a little lopsided. The base is straight, but the top is a little crooked. It's a good size for one or two chickens, but no more. If you are leaving them in for a while, I might suggest one only. We also bought U shaped pegs to anchor into the ground for more stability/safety, and added another latch on the top. We did not buy the enclosure part of the run, so we stapled in wire to close the gap. It was an easy fix. Happy with it!

I’m on my silkie chicken breeding journey! I bought this while waiting to receive some silkie chicks and hatching eggs. It took me less than 20 minutes to build. I’m using it as a brooder. There is plenty of room to hold many chicks. I did cover the opening with hardware cloth, because I’m not attaching it to a coop. It’s sturdy enough to handle my wild 2 year old. Easy enough to open for that 2 year old as well. I’ll be adding some extra hardware. and for the price, you really can’t beat it! (Picture of said 2 year old, hanging out in the brooder lol

I have put together a handful of catios before and that’s what I’m making this for. I didn’t even need the directions it was so basic. The wood and wire quality is really good compared to the other catios I’ve put together. I custom made 2 of these and stacked them and only put one flip lid on the roof. I made it into a catio extension. You’ll see in the picture that I added brackets to keep the 2 chicken runs together.

Bought this as a pen for a mama hen who recently hatched some chicks. As with all pre-fab cages, the quality is lacking. It served its purpose however the weather rusted the wire pretty quickly and the frame is flimsy. I expected as much but was in a hurry and needed a pen quickly. If you’re handy at home you can build the same thing for half the coat at make more sturdy.

I bought this for our house chicken so she would have more room while she was not free range in the house with her chicken diaper on. My daughter and I put it together in about 20 minutes (from opening the package to using a drill to assemble). It will work well for what I need. Her favorite trick is to jump on the roof and perch. It is sturdy enough for inside the house. I like that it doesn't have any type of scent to it so I imagine if you are using outside it would need to be weatherized. I personally don't think it is sturdy/safe enough to use outside without some adjustments as other reviewers have suggested. I also added a handle on the top door for easier opening and closing. All and all this outdoor run is well made and better than I was expecting (I looked at about 7 other products and reviews).

My chicks are just over 1 week old and I wanted a enclosure that I could use inside and out and this is perfect!! It's a good bang for your buck and very easy to put together... if I can do it anyone can. The open part for attaching to the chicken coop, which I'll do when they move into the coop, I am covering with some wire I had lying around to keep them safely inside. Last picture is the piece with the opening, I used chicken wire to match and zip tied it on.. very easy and I can remove it when the time comes.
