This is a really good book that delivers real results. It is incredibly thorough and is loaded with content that will definitely get you on the right track to learning Chinese quickly, although Chinese is a really difficult language to learn. One thing that I can’t stand is useless fluff in books – this book has none of that! I was immediately able to tell that the author really cared about the reader’s outcome and understanding of the material, and that a lot of care and effort was put into making sure a quality product was created. This book is key if you are looking for practical results, so grab a copy – you won’t be sorry!

Learning Mandarin is fun and at the same time beneficial if you are like me who loves to travel specifically in Asian countries. This book aims to teach us the correct grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and key phrases in everyday conversations. This is easy because it starts from the very basic then slowly moves up to parts of speech, word order and other unique features of Mandarin. Each topic was carefully selected to enhance the learner’s comprehension and appreciation of the language. This is a great guide; the approach is effective to speed up my learning to this fun and unique language.

Great book for beginners. I bought this over the summer to study before taking my first mandarin class in college. It helped, and it was easy to understand. Wish it was a little more in depth though, but still good book for the price.

It's not quite what I had in mind; a good starter for someone trying to learn the basics. But that's where it ends, the basics. Now, for anyone saying that you can't learn a language in a book this size, I say rubbish: I picked up a book on Russian that was equal in size and got far more bang for my buck.

I am planning to travel to China next year. Though I know it is too early, I wanted to learn Chinese so that I would not have hard times communicating to locals once I am there. This book is a good guide on how to start. Easy to understand and it covered the common phrases and words a beginner should know. I am looking forward to learn Chinese in no time with the help of this book.

Being a traveler and an online entrepreneur, I communicate with quite a large number of people all over the world and I can already ask for food and greet in Spanish,Arabic and Germany, so I guess I should also get a few tips in speaking Chinese since its my next destination. Its so challenging but I guess there is no option but going on with practice with this easily and well organized Learning tool.

Realistically, I know I can't learn Chinese in 21 days, but is fun when you can speak some Chinese and make another person smile and feel connected with them.
