Missing piece replaced
Upon receiving the adapter, I noted that the allen key seemed to slide right through without proper contact. After reading another reviewer stating they had received the wrong allen key size, I assumed I had as well, but upon trying a different 1/16" key that also didn't work, Sodamod suggested pushing the key further into the adapter. At this point, I sent them a picture showing the key passing all the way through the adapter. Seeing that I didn't have a screw loose but a screw missing, they quickly sent 2 replacement screws that resolved the issue.Since they quickly resolved my concerns, I have edited my review to 4 stars. Luckily I hadn't needed to swap in the new tank during this time frame. I would have given a 5th star, but this item is overpriced. During the time I was first reviewing, I decided to try one of the other products like this (but for less than half the price). Except for some cosmetic differences, they are basically identical. As for the tank, I'm not sure the impact of "beverage grade" canister, but it doesn't seem like a unreasonable price for the increased machining required to have a smoother tank interior surface.

Replace your SodaStream cylinders with these quickly, and stop getting ripped off.
If you have a SodaStream, you need this. We got one of the SodaStream units that can accept the larger cylinders, only due tot he fact that there was a place nearby that carried them; they're actually not commonly carried and you're generally stuck with the smaller ones that come with the units. After paying about $60 for additional large cylinders and about $35 per refill after that, we found we were still paying about $60 every month or so on them. So, we looked around and found this. The tank and the mod together were about $100, but they paid for themselves quickly over a few refills, which we can now get at virtually any sporting goods store, for a whopping $5 each. You only need one adapter, which you can leave on the SodaStream unit while changing tanks if you want. You can then get as many cylinders as you want as backups. They're about $50, and are just a couple inches shorter than the large SodaStream cylinders, but about the same diameter. This works out to maybe about 5 to 10 fizzed bottles less, depending on how much fizz you like in your drinks. We bought two additional cylinders so when we empty two, we can keep one running while we get the empties refilled. One word of warning. SodaStream is deceptive in their marketing of their cylinders. We got two extras under the belief that we could return them for a refund on the cylinder price. When we tried, we were told there is no refund, even though the cost of the additions cylinders was about $60 or so and each replacement (refill) was only half that. So, we were out another $60 (actually, $90 because we had another unit) that we were led to believe would be refunded. We were told that was basically a license fee paid to SodaStream for the use of their equipment, as you never actually own those cylinders, even though you can keep them as long as you wish and never return them. Riiight.

Making soda at home and saving money doing it!
Let me tell you why I love this so much:MONEY. Allow me to briefly explain. After acquiring a Sodamod adapter from Trinity Supply here on Amazon, I ordered three of these 9oz tanks on the recommendation that they will fit my Samsung refrigerator that has sparkling water in the door (and yes, as a matter of fact it IS very nice... you should try it). It fits perfectly, replacing the 14oz Sodastream tank that the fridge holds.Let's see... I have two Sodastream tanks (one for the fridge, one shelf spare). That's 28oz total of CO2 and refills are $15 each for a total of $30. Plus tax. I bought three of these 9oz tanks to replace the Sodastreams, which is 27oz total and refills are roughly $2.50 each at the local sporting goods store for a total of $7.50. Hmmmmmm.....are you starting to see how fast you can save money with this? These tanks and the adapter will pay for themselves in no time and then it's all gravy! That's why I heartily recommend these tanks and the adapter. The CO2 from Sodastream is their cash cow and the single most expensive part of making your own soda at home. This eliminates that high CO2 cost - now home-made soda is not only delicious and fresh, it's cost-effective, too!So yes, I would definitely buy this again. Over and over. It makes no sense not to.

I ordered this product on the assurances in questions and description that it included both the adapter and tank, but received only the tank. Hopefully this is just an error, but if not the description is very misleading.

I am sure the container is fine, but It did not come with the Adapter which was very frustrating. The bottle is exactly the same as a $30. paint ball co2 tank. purchasing the tank and the adaptor separately saved me approximately $20. from the price of this item.

Fabulous cost savings, finicky pin valve
5 stars for reducing the per liter cost of CO2 our SodaStream by 80%; 3 stars for the inconvenience of having to remove it to adjust with the little allen wench every week or two so that it continues to work properly.

Volume
The concept is amazing it only cost $3.50 every time I get this bottle filled, However the bottle is 24Oz and fills about 8 or 9 liters and it is empty.
